Ranting about some boards - Rape Board

While I was prevented from going on here by the school's porn blocker, I found another message board, called X Board for porn that bypassed the filter!

But once I joined, ooooh boy. Drama like you could not believe!

These people thrive on reputation and replies to their threads. There's literally thousands of threads that have one short little video clip and three pages worth of "rep me" "reply to me" "repped ya dude" "thanks for the reply"

Bunch of wussies too because "you can't post fully nude pictures, only links"

umm...HELLO! IT'S AN ADULT FORUM!

There's another one that fell through the cracks, and this one was strange.

Called Lawina Board, you could not use the search button, edit your posts, view the members on the board, or go into certain areas without 35 posts.

But I should thank that board, for without it I would have not found the proxy that allows me access onto here!

I've seen forums like that; I back out and don't waste breath on 'em.

I laughed my ass off at one forum and told 'em to fucking ban me. They have a HUGE note in the FAQ pinned to every freaking forum about NO STINKING SPAM, yet the only thing they allow is links to porn affiliates.

I did a couple of RapidShare uploads just to stir the pot, and they got quickly deleted with a warning that "the admin doesn't like rapidshare".

I've seen others with a list of 'prohibited uploads' as long as your arm. I guess they get advertising from everyone on the planet.

Welcome back, and congrats getting through the gauntlet! You're lucky the college filter isn't doing a content block, or just the meta-words here would trigger it: "Rape board - Let's talk about rape, incest, bestiality and scat". Yeah, I can see 'em blocking that.

So they know someone was using the proxy and it's very likely they know it's me. If they also know I was on here, then I'm screwed.

Hopefully, they will just think that they have you off the boards. You do need to find out what the penalties are for your surfing...

Another thing to be aware of... our IT staff had software that'd sniff the ethernet, decode the packets and allow them to watch our browsing as if it were a movie. They couldn't see secure HTTPS links but anything else was fair game.

All of the stuff I was doing that I didn't want them to track (purely work-related warez) I did from my laptop with a cell phone link. Yep, they can slow me down, but they can't stop me. I firewalled & passworded the shit out of the laptop to keep their sticky fingers out of it.

Oh, and I stumbled across one of the 'rep me' style of posts in the video area yesterday. Some 15 year old posting PG-13 'porn' from India. I'm guessing on the age, but I'd bet I'm right. All of his other posts are the same, only a tiny handful were anything remotely resembling rape. From what I could see, the only people he handed the passwords out to were people that replied to his posts, so I'd ban the annoying child.

Well it's been exactly one week and they still haven't contacted me about the proxies. I'm safe for now.

In the meantime, I found yet another adult forum not filtered that WAS TOTAL CRAP!

Your maximum pm storage is 5 on there. Upon asking a moderator, he replied I would have to upgrade to a gold membership to get a storage capacity of 200.

So I replied "well, I guess you are all about the money then." and I never returned.

So now that I have my own message board, and I paid for it, I have greater respect for administrators and a better understanding of strange rules.

One final forum to rant about. I don't even remember the name of it, but it's a roleplay site. I had a thread started with a partner, good story, and she didn't respond for 5 days or so. I politely pm her and IM her reminding her about the thread, thinking that she may have missed my post or something. She takes it as impatience and pulls out of the roleplay.

*shakes head*

If she had done the same thing to me, I would have thanked her for reminding me instead of being an asshole.
