Oh my god.

This will probably shock some of you and some of you will probably think I'm pathetic or wrong for saying it. But in all honesty, I would choose sexual assault over being beating up and having someone cut up my hair. Its probably one of the single worst, most humiliating things I can possibly think of. I know it grows back but it takes a while and it would never be the same.

I think it would be hard for a man to really understand. As me and LMR were saying earlier, we spend literally hours on hair. Moisturisers, shampoo, haircuts, conditioner, dyes, spray, styling jelly. To just take a pair of scissors, seriously no. This is not a good subject for me. I honestly would do nothing but cry for weeks.

That scene where they are holding her and cutting bits of her hair and she's bleeding. Thats horrific. I'm usually close to unshockable, but I would despair if that happened to me, seriously. Can't think of anything worse.

Lucy - I know what you mean, from personal experience. As most of you know by now I had an accident last year and had a head injury. My head was shaved to accommodate sutures and surgery.

It really was horrible. Every time I looked in the mirror for months I was reminded of the injury. when people looked at me, they could not ignore it. It was six months before I was willing to meet people I had not met in person before.

Yes, forced hair cutting would certainly put the lid on it for me. Between a rape and that, I really don't know if I would survive it.

I've thought about it and I think the reason i was drawn to these vids was more the public stripping, the public humiliation, and the sheer powerlesness of the victims ( or in this case collaborators) then the actual hair itself.
