It's rotten potted history! It is the European war in a nutshell though. Hitler gives up trying to invade England, the Empire strikes back in North Africa, the Soviets break out at Volgograd, Hitler is fucked, the Septics come and sell us chocolate and nylon stockings for a few years.

It's true that you had to save us in WWII, but it wasn't your military contribution that saved us as we were already winning. It's the convoys of supplies you kept sending us and the Soviets that was the USAs most significant contribution to the European war. Back then, as now, Britain only produced 60% of its food domestically, it would have been suicide to take on Hitler without an ally to rely on to feed us.

So a good portion of my grass burnt, I lost half my corn and part of my tomatoes. And have a singed pumpkin. However the power lines in the backyard were removed and power was back before I woke up yesterday morning.

What pissed me off today? That when the cable guy came to replace lines for the tv/internet he wasn't tall and hunky. ... Or even moderately enticing.

The hot weather, combining with a stressful week at work, and some shitty family stuff have decided to combine with the last vestiges of the jet lag I was suffering with to completely fuck up my sleep patterns, so the hour nap I aimed for yesterday afternoon became five, which meant that when I went to bed I didn't sleep well and so have been up on and off for the last five or six hours...grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
