Hahaha, alright HRH, goodness. I marinated the steak in a hispanic lime/cilantro sauce overnight. Pulled it out today, loosened it up by beating the snot out of it, added some spices. As for the rice I made a rice pilaf with garlic, butter and shallots. As for plating presentation I put the rice in a ball on each of my fiancee' and I's plates, then layed the strips of filet mingon over the rice, it was delicious

Ya know, one day I was in the mood for carpaccio. But I don't have a slicer like we used to have at work so I did my best to cut thin slices from a bit of ribeye. Put some lemon juice, parmesan and capers on it and it really wasn't bad.
I freakin hate cilantro though. Am I so unique in that?

Tonight I will be having home made kebabs. They only had wholemeal pitta in Tesco, so that will have to do. I've made up some kofta mince and will put them in the pitta when they're cooked together with some mixed leaves, raw onion, finely chopped scotch bonnet peppers (yes I'm insane), topped off with houmous and Mr McIlhennys extra hot habanero sauce (yes I'm insane) fondly nicknamed TWA - tabasco with attitude. I may wander back up to Tesco before I cook and buy some ice cream for afters.
