Actually, it's the other way. America owes the Chinese billions, and the Chinese keep their currency low by buying billions of US dollars, therefore making the import of chinese made goods more attractive.

Take a look around the Internet and let it's rubbish speak for itself. To most people it is 99% useless crap with the odd meaningful page thrown in. Most of the information is unreliable. It makes people sick and dependant. And the majority of what is left is just another marketplace.

It's all utter rot. Take this site, to us it is a meaningful place but who are we? Just a handful. To the rest of the world the best we can hope for is to be viewed with puzzlement. They would ban us if they could but for fear of opening the floodgates and banning everything someone might take exception to. And even the most liberal of legislators couldn't raise that much tax.

Then you have the legislators themselves. I'm not attacki g any one party, nation or ethos here. Governments wave the Internet around like a banner. "Look at all this evil." Look what we've done to stamp it out. Nonsense. Because they've done bugger all and they're powerless really to do anything against a rising tide of dross. Atleast until one day they start planting chips in our head at birth and can read and control our every thought.

Lastly, the Internet inteferes with our real world. And that my friend is the real reason why it is rubbish.
