What sort of work do you do? - Rape Board

I know there was a thread previously about whether or not you like your work, but I was wondering about the work that the members of the board do. I would think that we should run the gamut over all sorts of professions. Unfortunately supposition is never enough.

I'll start first, I suppose that would make sense since I suggested the topic. I am a physicist, an experimental physicist. For those of you who have the unfortunate fate to not be a physicist, that means that I design and run experiments. Then spend years analyzing the data, only to find that I should have changed one of the parameters of the experiment slightly. Such are the vagaries of science.

So what do the rest of you interesting individuals do?

Well when I'm not terrorising Nissan Micra drivers in the fast lane with my white van, I do highly specialised structural repairs.

I'm a clinical psychologist who specialized in behavioural science and research.
I work with the federal government in the department of investigative and criminal as well as forensic psychology.

Not all the time.
The institute I'm employed at (so no, don't worry, I only work with the feds, not for them - no need to be alarmed

) does a lot of behavioural research and experiments - which can be rather dense to plan, set up and analyze.

Well i would tell you but then i would have to kill you lol,i work at a meat market cutting meat and cleanning blood from the floor and then i work at a bar for a few hours.

I teach, create processes and I counsel people on the work floor. All for the biggest telecoms provider in my country

I was a conveyancer until i was made redundant last year. Which although extremely boring, i loved.

Now i work as part of a team to write legal agreements, which is really boring but i love the people there but have just put my name down to do a degree in health and social care in October. Which is a completely different avenue from doing law for so many years.

Started off a Safety fitter and later worked as a draughtsman in mining. Owned a newsagency then an auto spare parts store. Graduated to Postal Manager and Postmaster. Now retired but act part time as a Magistrate in the Traffic Court.
