PayPal scam - Rape Board

i got an email from something claiming to to be PayPal wanting me to update my PayPal info . i don't have an account with them , so i knew it was bullshit . i did a quick search on the link and it's a phishing website . for those of you that do have a PalPay account ... something to keep in mind .

This one goes arround once in a while, you just go to the PayPal web sight and inform them of it, don't do much but it does tip them off to what is going on.

Happened 2 years ago, and PayPal put an end to it real quick.

As they say, beware of anything out here.

yeah you have to be careful . first time i had seen it and i know quite a few members use paypal , so thought i'd share .

No legitimate company is going to send you an email asking for information such as your account number, password, etc.

Keeping that in mind, is the best way to avoid scams like that.

In the case of paypal, here is the address to forward suspicious emails to. This is from the PayPal website.

Forward suspicious emails to spoof@paypal.com.

as i stated they wanted me to "update" my account info . didn't ask for anything just that with a link and the paypal logo at the top and some other stuff that would make it seem real to unsuspecting people .

That sucks, I almost fell for that because I made an account a LONG time ago but never used it at all. But then I just typed in the crap they had in the email and it came up a scam so I was like 'heh fucking douchebags thought they could fool me.'.
