Stolen links - Rape Board

I am referring specifically to the upload stolen by Headboy in this thread

One of the movies there was stolen from me.
I got this movie from the P2P network where it takes days to download them. It then took me another 40 mins to see the movie, 3 hours to upload it and 10 minutes to prepare caps & format a post.

In view of this, I am totally, disgusted, NOT at the fact that my links were stolen. BUT by the fact that a number of the "junior members" responded favourably to the posting, even though they knew from previous posts that the link/material had been stolen.

Now, I ask you, what is the point of us uploading if you dont respect the work and effort that goes in to it.

i uploaded a .txt file and when somebody asks for the links, I just send by pm this file, where are the links. It's just in the case it is useful.

I agree with your statement. I dont mind if someone uses my work, but at least give credit to the original uploaders. Also if the orginal uploader wants the thread or link to the stolen vid removed, they should have that right. Have you filed a complaint with the mods? Also I wouldnt worry to much about junior member comments. They are new after all.

I think the mods have taken appropriate action and I am grateful to "Stainless Steel Rat" for his diligence.

I sympathise with you my friend. hours of hard work and someone tries to make capital out of it. The way the board is at the moment, the buggers are trying every trick in the book to up their counts. Don't let it put you off mate, good times will return. Cheers.

I hate to sound slimy, but Noir, I do agree with you. I don't care where my porn comes from as long as I get it. I am willing to share my stuff, though. If someone "steals" my link, I remember that it was not my movie to begin with. I am only a viewer who is sharing what I watched. Sorry. I know that is a bit insensitive and I mean no disrespect to anyone. I have so many other things to worry about in life, that I chose not to be bogged down by this. Cheer up, imitation is the ultimate compliment.

Morley - None of my stuff is unique. I got it from either the P2P network or raped it of the various file hosting sites. However, when I find something on the file hosting sites, I always keep the same filename, but host it elsewhere to preserve the original uploaders content.

I dont mind people using my downloads, but if you are going to use my links and caps, then for god sake give me some credit.

My very first post was really to explain to the newbies, the time and effort that it takes to make these downloads available for them. They somehow think they have a god given right to free downloads. They are even to lazy to search the older posts, which have downloads with no post protection.

Sorry people - rant over now.

I agree rightidiot. I do give credit. Usually, my posts are older and I don't remember who posted it. It sounds like you want some simple appreciation for the work you do. That's reasonable.

I complained about Headboy to the mods because he was stealing uploads from this forum and posting them elsewhere, therefore killing the links much quicker (more exposure=more people who can complain to the file hosters).

Well done for banning him, mods! (And to rightidiot: we feel your pain, brother. Atleast you have one less thing to worry about now).
