Does molestation count as rape?
The definition of "molest" is to bother, annoy, or persecute.
However, when we think of the word molest, the first thing we generally think of is someone touching someone in an unpleasant sexual way, even though the definition of "molest" says nothing about actually touching anyone. I suppose you could bother someone just by touching their arm or shoulder while they're in a bad mood, but would that really count as rape? Last edited by Raper of Anime; 05-18-2006 at 11:12 AM. |

I guess there isn't much more to say on that.
Rape (forced penetration) and molestation have different meanings in law. |

"I guess there isn't much more to say on that."
Ohhh, ya think sooo.... But the question was "Does molestation count as Rape". It doesn't just restrict you to the dictionary, the wording is not precise enough. You have at least 2 personal views, that of the victim and that of the rapist. The victim may well strongly disagree, it likely that they'd see it as being 2 different but unpleasant experiences. But for the rapist both might be equally satisfying for it not to matter too much to them. Frankly I find the idea of touching up a woman is equally as arousing for me as fucking her or raping her brains out. In fact entry on it's own would be rather uninspiring. I know that the law may disagree, but as the number of cases that go near the courts shows, it's got damn near fuck all to do with the law. |

I guess, from the victim's point of view, molestation can be as bad as rape but I don't think it could be worse than rape.

What about 'finger fucking'? Wouldn't that count as forced penetration (rape) even though it's with a finger or fingers instead of a penis, or would that be molestation (simple touching)?

rape is the unwanted penetration by penis, digit (finger, etc.) or object.
"Indecent Assault and Battery" is unwanted touching (e.g. groping) that falls short of penetration. Various jurisidictions have refinements, such as "aggravated" which may include the use of a weapon, severe force/fear, injury, and so on. Then some jurisidictions use the terms "first degree, second degree etc." The specifics on these vary from place to place, and prosecution to prosecution. |
