Rapidshare pay or free? - Rape Board

Thinking about signing up for a Rapidshare premium account, wondered if other people go for premium or are you happy with the free service? Don`t like paying for something if it`s available for free!

Premium is naturally much better if you want to download many files in a short time but it depends on how much files you actually are going to download from RS. The free service is also good but it becomes rather annoying at a certain point when you have even dozens of files you want to download and especially on this board waiting too long can be fatal for the links in the long run.

In short it depends completely on how much you use Rapidshare to download stuff.

At best I've had over 20 files downloading at the same time from Rapidshare.

depends on what you want and are happy with . i used the free version for a long time . works good , can download just fine with it . but came a time i wanted more . with premium i can download more than one thing at once . can also load stuff into my download manager and let it run while i'm gone , sleeping or whatever . but free is good and at the time that did all i wanted . i will say it is worth the money if you want to spend it . good luck deciding

Like the guy above me says, it depends on what you want. I don't pay for any file sharing system because, well, there's just so many different links that uploaders use. Albeit that about a month ago, RB links were about all rapidshare links. Nowadays, you see mediafire links, depositfile links, etc. So, I'd really hesistate on getting a premium account.

Rapidshare's limit is 10Gb a day now with Premium. However, they're deleting/blockibng too many files these days that I'm seriously considering NOT renewing my premium.

The free stuff's always been enough for me. Connection's not fast enough for multiple downloads anyway...

Well I didn`t use to download a lot from RS until I discovered this board!

for the tiny cost premium has been very nice very fast downloads and easier to download the big split files

it's kinda annoying to use rs if i don't have the premium. the wait time, bandwidth limit, no simultaneous downloads. i know you can bypass wait time by restarting your modem and clearing your cache or cookies, but even that is a drag...

I agree, If you want to download only one or two files then use the free option. However if you want real fast downloads and you want to download multiple parts then the premium option is definately worth it. I have a premium account and it GREAT. I can download multiple files (its also handy to use mjsplit) or to download from multiple forums at the same time. I have downloaded many many hours of entertainment for a very small cost. You can use pay-pal to buy the premium option, or as I do use my bank debit card. Really if you enjoy 'adult movies' and clips then rapidshare premium is best. Also from what I observe using various forums to download from, Rapidshare appears to be the option most posters use the most so you really get you monies worth. A months cost is only abot $11-12 or as I get a 3-month option for about $29. They sell the options in "euros" but their is a euro-dollar currency converter available free online if you do a 'google' or someother search for it.

I recommend the firefox add-on called RDown, which automates downloading multiple files from rapidshare using their free service.
