the premium service offers much faster speeds and parallel downloads. Like it was said before it is only worth it if you download a lot of files at once.

Think of it this way. I want a movie, i go to a forum that has it in rapidshare. There are 8 files total, and it takes 2 minutes per file if i download 4 at a time. So basically i download a FULL MOVIE in 4-5 minutes. Torrents cant do that. So I LOVE RAPIDSHARE. And there are sooo many forums and websites that use rapidshare the downloads are endless.

Another nice feature of a Rapidshare premium account is you can choose to download from anyone of the multiple download servers. If I'm downloading a file and it seems kinda slow (I can check out the speed its at on my Netscape downloader option) I simply cancel that download, check off a different server and download from that one. Thus network traffic can be changed to download from the fastest server at the time. It really saves quite a bit in downloading time rather then just accepting the default one. For example I was downloading a file recently and the default server was downloading at a rate of about 150 mb/sec but changing to a different server allowed the same file to download at about 500 mb/sec which is about my fastest dsl speed i can get. It meant going from about 10 mins to download the file to about 2 mins. Big difference. Usually the default server they pic is the best but its nice having the option to change available.

HAHAHA Nope I'm not a representative for Rapidshare, I just really like the service best out of all them I've tried premium accounts from.

The cost of premium is negligible compared to the convenience it offers over the free option.

i have a premium acc, cause iam on a few warezsites, and for that free use is not very useful for me.
Hancock,Batman The Dark Knight, and many mor have pretty much files,so Downloading them with no rs premium account would take me days.
I bought premium acc 3 years ago,since then i didnt paid anymore because i have so much Rapidpoints, which i can use for renewing my account.

Premium rules.

I'm at 1000 points of uploading, 9000 more and i got a free account for 1 month.
Considering the fact my DSL sucks, it must be easy to have free premium accounts monthly.

I know some guys they make 1000 a day,so yes its easy. Very easy.

So you see a rapid account is pretty cheap, pay it once and then use your points.

I download alot of videos (porn and movies), so it's always been well worth the convenience to me to just have an account where i can use a download manager....and as so many have stated its not totally unaffordable, and if it is, just upload videos until you've got enough points.

I think its worth it for a premium account because then you are pretty much unrestricted to what you download.

I got the premium RS, but the way they are deleting files, it's becoming more useless. I'm not sure if I'm going to reup RS when it comes to renewal time.
