What's going on here

Hi,

before my posting here, I ask for yoor apologize, because my english isn't the best at all.

I've joinend these board at January 18, 2007.

I'm not a member with much activities.
The are different reason. First I could better talk and write in the german language, and second I'm more into posting stories, than only downloading and watching movies.

But - these board (in the past) was the best place to look for movies. Sometimes there are some good and rare movies, and so I've downloaded them.

But what's going on here now.

Each user can decided for himself, how many postings an other user have to make, to see his downloadlink. The results are many absurd postings, only to reach the random count. And maybe will be setting higher then.

These board turned from an open friendly place to an impregnable fort.
What sense is there, when only user with a high count of posting could see some links.
The mainreason for posting in ab board, shouldn't be to post only for user with other high counts on posting. The reason here was - I think - t have fun to participate other friends of fantasy-rape. An maybe some of these new friends habe some stuff to share too. But now - it's an elitist club.

And the worst point at all:

Rapidshare don't allowed to upload porn, so maybe it's a rat who reported links, maybe rapidshare detected the links by itselfs. But - in every way - the don't allowed porn.

So - I know here only one user who does the right think.
He posted as he ever posted but now on "Mediafire"
So many thanks to Lemarchand for keep cool, and only change the uploader.
Thats the best and only way in my opinion.

So - it could be right to punish hundred ore thousand friendly user, bacause there is (maybe) one user who reported links. Thats the wrong way.

Finally:

Don't panic - I didn't planed to spam the board in future too, but I hope the direction of the board will be corrected in the next days or weeks.

Maybe MediaFire will not do the same as rapidshare do.

But defenitly - the way the rapeboard is going now is WRONG !

B.t.w. - Rapidshare is deleting links not only here - on a few boards it is the same think, but even only with rapidshare.

So each board then have a rat owned, and these rat is only interested to delete links from rapidshare. I don't believe this.

Well, I have to agree with you on the fact there are so many people here just posting to reach the post count needed.
But yet, I believe there is someone reporting the links, and if it happens again he'll have to be one of the members.
All the files from my main thread have been removed on rapidshare, but the
files that were in a less known thread (for instance I posted a vid in "Girls stripped in public") are still there.

Maybe your Porn-Links who deleted by rapidshare have a higher traffic then the others. So - I believe - that rapidshare is searching for forbidden movies. And porn-movies are always often download. So it's a good hint for RS, that it could be a porn.

Do not misunderstand me - maybe there is a person who reported links. There are some member here, who are admins from other boards, were you have to pay for the content. So it's possible, I think.

But, why in Hell, nobody - except Lemarchand - tries to upload on MediaFire or others. It's worth an attempt.

I agree with you Salamander, the Board HAS changed since I joined. It did use to be a friendly sharing place where people shared just for the pleasure of it without wanting something in return. Furthermore there's nothing wrong with your English my friend, it's better than my German. Nicht war.

That's only that what I want.

Make some users thinks about what they doing with/in this good board.

Restrictions, as used in other boards are ok in my opinion, but not a personal decision by each user, how many postings are needed. That makes some users abuse her might.

I have to say I'm agree with you Salamander even though I prefer rapidshare because of the download speed. And I'm agree with you about this board getting more "restricted" even though I can understand uploaders concern.

I totally agree with salamander i am a member of this board since 2006 so more than 2 years and i dont have acces most of the links Now i hae to write some auto messages in order to see files. If even me, an old memeber of RB, have to do that what are you expecting from the non registred users?? You think that deleting the spam messages is a solution? No way!!!

Just like RS and all the other "well-known" file sharing sites out there if you actually read their legal documentation they all put pornography into the taboo category to protect themselves. They put the burden on the user and leave it to other users to police the system. As I have stated before they have better things to do than look for violations otherwise RS would have to delete more than half it's content immediately {probably closer to 90% if you think about it}.

Trust me, any of you that have ever worked in developing search programs should know that any sort of automated sweep of this board either by thread or entire forum would be far more thorough that the rather haphazard pattern we have seen now. This is the human touch at work, not automation. Eventually by hook or by crook a solution will undoubtedly be found, until then it may be a bit ugly in here. The next step would seem to be to reign back in the insane spamming which erupted in the past two days.

As long as you post your files protected, it will be difficult for the hosts to mess with them. Maybe the 'rat' is a Rapidshare employee, like i said, if Rapidshare receives pressure from governments then they will have to take measures and at least show attempt to purge their system of illegal content. It would not be in Rapidshare's best interests to delete files just because one or two person reports it; otherwise, good content could just be reported by pranksters. So Rapidshare must have actually had proof that the file was illegal, then they run a trace and look for other files uploaded by the same user (by IP, filename, etc) and take them down.

Basically my point is that whenever a file is repored, I'm sure Rapidshare runs through the usual routine checks before confirming the file to be suspicious and take action. So I suggest people protect their files with encryption (rar password) and split them up. Also, maybe link protection could help, so the rapidshare link isn't visible ON THIS WEBSITE ALONG WITH GRAPHIC SAMPLE PICS.

Sure, RB will roll on. The Question is for whom is RB roll on. Only for a few High-Level-Poster who sharing their movies to each other. Maybe after that no link is deleted any more, but it is so boring if only the biggest poster say all together "Thanks for the post". After two month each of this "big-poster" have all the same stuff. Nothing to sahre anymore, nothing to discuss anymore. It's a question of quality, not a question of "Be or not to be".

Ok, the don't allowed to upload porn, as Rapidshare do.

That can be the reason for massive deleting of links in the future.
But it looks like, that rapidshare is the most sensitive upload-service.
Ok - rapidshare is fast an has a good service.
The other service are more uncomfortable, but maybe they are not so sensitive. So the tolerance of the other services are never tested yet.

And b.t.w. - can we call it spamming, if anonym uploaders forced to join for download. Spamming is without any asking for it.

And b.t.w. two, maybe I'm a "Fair Weather Friend", but indeed I feel that the random limits are not fair, and obviously many others think so too. And these are not at all members with Join-Date "August 2008".

And b.t.w. three - certainly the world is rolling on too, years after the "shut down" of RapeBoard, Rapidshare or whatever.

I agree with you Salamander. Now when I check threads, all I get to see are hundreds of "thank you's", and little content. I think it is terrible that Sani's posts were all deleted, and I don't think someone spent hours copying his hundreds of pages, just to email them to rapidshare.

people, let me just say that a few members asked about doing something to "protect" links so they last a bit longer for others to view. Now, I would suggest that everybody not set the number of posts required to view you upload links too high. I would say that a small handful of posts should be enough. Others have to understand that we now are being forced to protect links unless you want to spend most of your free time uploading and losing links as quickly as you post them.

Also, due to the nature of this board, it's content, of course a human rat would know what is in any movie file whether it's protected, split, or whatever. The only other option is to make a completely private movie section like a certain other board does.

So, movie posters, I do ask that you be reasonable with the set number of posts required to view download links and to all that are opposed, would it really hurt to have to make a few posts, there are other sections besides the movies you know.
