Do you think it is possible for a rapist to get sentimental when aging ?
Let's imagine the guy is going thru an emotional mid-life crisis and he wants to make up with all his victims.

What would be the appropriate technique for a rapist to apologize ? Would it be cute to see him stalking early victims to give them huge sums of money or would that be pathetic ?

I don't know about apologizing, but I suppose a sentimental rapist might track down a long-ago victim and ask her "How is our kid doing?"

Mad magazine actually once published something like that back in the 70s or 80s (before political correctness made it unthinkable). It was part of a collection of greeting cards for events that don't normally get them. I do recall the lines:

Although the moment that we shared
Was frantic, fierce, and thrilling
I wonder how it would have been
If, darling, you'd been willing!

The headline on the card was "To a reluctant conquest", but the joke was that until the last line, you don't realize it's actually for a rape victim.

oh man - can you imagine what would happen if ANY magazine published something like that these days?

i get the same reaction when I watch Mad Men. When you think about some of the stuff that used to be considered normal, but would be considered abhorrent today, it is pretty amazing.

It wouldn't surprise me too much to see it in Japan. The bookstores over there are packed with stuff that would make our political-correctness-mongers' heads explode.
