i think your excuses about it being encyclopedic or whatever is just rationalizing. clearly there are people on the thread making suggestive statements concerning the real trauma these women faced. and there are so many celebrities... that is sad.

While I agree, the posting of these "real rape" stories walks a thin line, I do not think we have crossed it.

As for the pictures, sometimes you know the name but not the face. The pictures are a good idea.

I argued against a former mod here on this exact subject. But I didn't do it to drool over 12 year olds being abused. What Sociopath said in post #2 is 10 times worse than simply mentioning a real name or incident.

As Stern said and as I protested back then, we are entitled to discuss this because the celebrities have chosen to make it public knowledge. However, comments like this shame the rest of us and in my opinion either it or the poster himself should go.

i like to think of myself as open minded... however, there is a difference between the fantasy and the reality of rape. I, as much as this is hard to admit, have been really raped. Over and over. There is nothing wrong with indulging in fun and games with likeminded parties, however, if someone really got off on the idea of my real life pain, humiliation and suffering, i would be pissed to no end. that would make the person enjoying my pain just as bad as the son of a bitch who did that to me. i tried not to get involved into the serious discussions on rapeboard, but this one, i could NOT pass.

like everyone else here, i love the idea of play rape... but when we start discussing the reality, as opposed to the fantasy, we are blurring a very dangerous line.

when celebs put info about their tramatic experiences of rape to the media, they are not doing to sexually stimulate. these celebrities are real people. they wanted to bring awareness to a serious subject that tramatized them, not give people masturbation fodder. this is reality. real events, not scripts and parts played. sometimes, i think that is forgotton.

When you are being play raped, you know that it's going to end with you getting off, and life goes on as normal. During a real rape, you don't know if you are going to survive... or even if you'd want to after that. During play rape, you want that person's hands on you, you trust that him/her not to hurt you. AND LIFE DOES NOT GO ON AS USUAL AFTER A REAL RAPE.

In real rape, you don't choose who touches you, and you certainly can't trust them not to hurt you after they are done. Your life is seriously in their hands. The fantasy of rape is amazing, sexy, and fun. There is no safe word in rape. The reality is the scariest thing on earth. Subjects like this blur the line of fantasy and reality in a way that gives me the shivers.

It's done so that someone can understand the trauma that they have gone through, and maybe to help show to some victims that they are not alone, not for sad little boys to wank to.

If anybody reading this thread actually gets off on this stuff, seek help.
