another boredom inspired thread, but, what's everyone's biggest fears?

for me: Alot of time i'll wake up in the middle of the night swearing someone's in my room (i wear glasses, so, its really scary sitting there trying to play asleep while you think of the best way to get to your glasses, check out the situation, and defend yourself at the same time), but, i also have great fears of wasps, spiders, and michael moore productions.

Death is the only real fear I have, honestly. I mean I have phobias like spiders, snakes, heights, etc. but death is something that terrifies me.

michael moore was a stupid joke i tried to throw in at the end, but looking at him in that context, i'd have to say waking up with him in my room with or without the spiders is pretty terrifying.

Dying doesn't bother me, why worry about the inevitable, I hope that it is either quick or one that gives everyone else a laugh.

My fear, the one that will wake me in the middle of the night...being injured so badly that either I am physically not able to look after myself, or psychologically, that person who I am ceases to exist.

I have to agree with Bella. Death is perhaps not the very worst thing that could happen to a person, but it would be among the worst. No more experience, no more thought, no more existence. All the fascinating future I would never see. I can't say death terrifies me, because I don't actually consider it inevitable, but I know if it seemed imminent I'd fight like hell to avoid it. Pretty much all living creatures do. Evolution has hard-wired us that way.

Is it like an entity attack TZO? I used to have them and I was shocked to discover that there are many others who get some kind (sadly mine didnt sexually abuse me just scared me)

so moving along! my real fears:

not me dying because well once you get there, you just dont know that its happening one minute your here the next your not...

1. my hub or kids dying
2. SHARKS always having nightmares about them
3. spiders
4. house fire
5. being beaten with hammer or crowbar or burnt with an iron etc (i guess any kind of non-rape violent assault/torture)

not positive what an entity attack is, but i'm pretty sure it's not that. Leaving academia, along with that entails. Failing to get my papers published and, therefore, failing as a scientist. But even more than that, having to get a regular soul crushing job where I would have to wear a suit and cut my hair.

That and a global theocratic state. I don't believe such a place would be very hospitable for atheist scientists.
