Hey Oldpig thanks for th movies , they are great. But in the Original title is "SCENEGGIATA NAPOLETANA" (M. Salieri) the 2nd and 3rd part's .002 files don't work, they are in document format and not in a video format. The first part or .001 files work, but their 2nd part doesn't work.

the 001 , 002 files are hjsplit format you need that to join the files into one playable clip .

I have HJ Split and it is not recognizing .002 file. It only recognizes .001 file. were you able to join both the files?

as i didn't download that clip , no . open the rapidshare page and compare file sizes . almost always the d/l stopped before geting the whole part . as no one has reported probs , this would be my guess for you also .

hmmm, i dled the Pamela Mann clip, and it arrived as a complete avi, not a folder. And it played fine, with no adverse effects.
Are you certain that the specific file was the cause? Were you doing other things as well? I know that i've had problems with DepositFiles.com, they have loads of pop-up and pop-under stuff, as well as some other sneaky junk.
And depositfiles has caused many browsers to crash, while it was trying to do some devious stuff....especially if you have some controls/restraints attached to your browser.
Anyway, I hope that you discover the reason for your IE shutdown. And that all is well, now.

i got the mann clip today . also d/l as a clip, i watched it with no probs . really wish you guys would check and make sure of the problem before posting like that . all it does is make the people that work so hard sharing their stuff not want to . and who could blame them if they stopped ?

Touriquet, I've been with the Board, for nearly a year registered, and longer; before then. Sani., Sodo, and others, will attest, once in a while, something weird, and un-intentional, attaches, when things get up, and down-loaded. The fact that. a warning is posted, re; a file, helps to create and keep; a comfort and confidence level for all members; or even lurkers, when they down-load files here. I was d/l this file alone, nothing else going on, it happened, I d/l it as a save to hard disk. I had to do a system restore, to get rid of the damn thing, it all but crashed, a very costly,and well built system. I did not nor do not, want to see any of our members or guests, have the same happen to them. It had/has DR. WATSON DE-BUGGER, embedded, into what-ever this is/was. Old Pig, I am not making this up, please go back; and double check/run your file. There was/is nothing wrong with my system, till i tried to save to disk, the Pamela Mann file. I run firefox exclusive, I have IE.7 INSTALLED, but never used, as my browser. This damn thing, kept triggering a EXPLORER message, saying it has a problem must close, but before it did, it flashed a message about DR.WATSON DEBUGGER, not working right. It shut down my start-up, had to go in thru safe-mode, then get the the whole folder, where the file had been down-loaded into, to recycle, incinerate the damn thing, even then, the start-up was non-functioning, had to do, restore, thru safe mode, that did the trick; however, a restore still remnants remain, did full AVG. scan says good to go, but it allowed it in, the first time around. I have heard of other's problems with file downloads, over the last 15 or so months, I have never seen it 1st hand: this was really something!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again Pig, for all your posts!!!!!!! APRIL MORN , not saying you don't have problems , and i don't know maybe something else did attach itself to your pc all i know is I HAD NO PROBLEMS with that file . crunch said he had no problems with that file . i look at it as pulling the fire alarm in a crowded theater when there is no fire . as i said i don't question that you had problems , just that this file caused it

BTW: the proggie does only show the 001 file , but joins all parts in the folder . i put all files for the clip into the same folder and join them . then you can move joined clip elsewhere and check the file size against the folder size of unjoined parts . p.s. you might have hidden files in the folder , (thumbnail record , so on) and it might be slightly bigger than the joined clip . hope this helps .

What is sure is that the Pamela man Movie is an .avi file. I just re-loaded it just now and, for me it plays correctly. No zip file in this one.
Of course, before posting it in RS, I've dl it myself and it has to go through my own many barriers (6 steps), which it does like a charm.
I do not understand how you had the pb, the only way i can think of is that there was a mess in RS connection and that you dl a wrong link ???
