Actually what disgusts me is that ive just found out that Jasmine isnt a mod (sorry hun I actually thought you were one!) shes been exemplary on this board.

too bad the process of moderation hasnt been more democratic and put to vote by active contributors in the past and let the RB fans choose who their moderators are?

Gags I've learned many things while posting on forums. Some required me being banned many many times (I was banned over 100 times on the yellowcard forum that no longer exists,) others not so extreme.

One thing is that just because some of the contributors go away for a while doesn't mean they will be gone forever. Everyone needs to keep posting so that when the members do return they will have more chances for replies, thus more posting on their part. When the U.S. President goes on vacation, does his entire area just stop because he's gone? No. Everything keeps on going and it runs smoothly because everyone works during his absence.

Um gaggirl, if you really paid attention you would have noticed that the mods are listed in the lower right side of all main page forums. So I don't know how it is so disgusting and a surprise that you didn't know Jas was not a mod?

Also, you spoke of not fighting over "piddley shit" as you put it....but you and a few others are making a mountain out of a mole hill, Jesus, none of you said anything before when others became mods. So why bother now???? I have never seen any forum or message board that allows members to vote on who becomes a mod. That would most certainly create the "clique" problem!

One more thing, you say that all of the great contributors to RB are gone....and a number of them are, but that tells me you have NO faith in new members being great contributors.

i wasnt aware that the bush admiistration did anything except steal oil from the middle east and kill theyre own youths for a shady cause.....last time i checked, he does practically nothing @_@ oh well.....

sodo, weve already got the clique problem, we used to have it, we still have it (although some people believe we never had cliques, i reference you to the belief in the UK club) i know theres certainly an air of...cliqueness?...around this board, i felt like my posts would just be ignored so didnt bother for a few months, till i figured i had nothing left to lose.....it took NEAR DEATH for me to decide to post here, thats how daunting this board s to newcomers.....its no fucking wonder we have over 10 000 members and only 50 of us post......

Ok dash, I see your point to a degree, yes, when I first joined I noticed some of the older members seemingly sticking together but I really do not think it was or is purposely done. I kept posting and hell I even pissed off one of those members, CH, and yet we became pretty good friends. So I really don't feel that there are any real cliques on RB. And if there is, then it's only because of a few members that want it to be that way and that does not represent the way this board is supposed to be.
