If possible, try to ban IP's like 190.235.*.*(just an example)
if not('cause the risk of banning normal users), maybe you should talk about the possibility of changing VB to another less vulnerable to exploits like spam bots

Coming across the trash is no fun, but I bet it is worse having to take out the trash...but appreciate what you do for the sake of the board

OK I'll say this again. The MODs can't do this...at all. Its not that we aren't banning IPs correctly, its just not a power we have. But thanks for the advice.

Well look on the bright side... the fact that this board is attracting more and more spammers tells you how we've grown over the years. When i first came here as a lurker (didnt rgister) i remember this place was all cluttered up, every time someone posts a clip they start a new thread, so you had to sift through lots of pages to find stuff to download. Now i believe we are one of the best rape fantasy boards on the internet.

So yeah, a bit more hard work for the mods but it's nice to have recognition, attention is the best form of flattery

Sorry for posting here but just hoping this will help in some way. Had a similar problem with spam bots and had to clear out the members list of all bots to solve the problem. We checked the IP or username against a list of known spammers (found here: http://www.stopforumspam.com/ ) and banned the ones that were known spambots. Just a suggestion that might aid you if there is some difficulty. Great job by the mods and sorry once more for posting here if its not appropriate.

There are too many fucking idiots in this world. Why donÂ´t they just spam their asses with a massive brutal dildo... Damn!!! Next time do a range IP ban, not a single ip ban... lol

Sorry mate i don´t know how its made because i don´t know if you have this option available on admin. site. However, i have a server for gaming and on the administator web´s site i can ban ips by range.
I done a research on google and i found this: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/4201/details
If site is allocated on a root server, i think you can take a look on this patch.
