OK, so ChiTown got treated badly and wrote a rant. Haven't each and every one of you felt the same way? Yes, you have and don't deny it. Some of you have even posted in that mood. So the debate got heated. So what? Heated debate is a GOOD thing, IMO.

Did she really deserve the personal insults? Or did you do it to get a rise out of her? Being called a fat, ugly cow would certainly have gotten a rise out of ME, too, and one at least as strong as the one she posted.

As for drama.....this board lives and dies on its drama queens. Some of my best friends are drama queens, and proud of it too.

I hope this discussion can be put back on track. The Battle of the Sexes is a great discussion for RB and I hope we can get back to it and leave the personal namecalling out of it.

Now, I want to continue with the question FuckingRotter asked. Do all men really want to be jerks? I'm not so sure. I think you guys like to pretend that you're all tough, but in truth not many of you could pull that off.

I am sick of generalizations. Saying ALL men suck (for some reason) or ALL women suck (for some reason) to me is no different than saying "all people of (some race suck because...)

Chi_town has undoubtedly had some bad experiences with men lately and I do feel bad for that. But this IS a public forum is it not? You completely misunderstand me, Snarkopo.

I never once said all men are jerks and all women are saints. In fact, some of the most breathtakingly cruel acts I have ever witnessed or heard of - including the one you just described - have been committed by women. And some of the greatest acts of pure kindness have been done by men.

Of COURSE generalizations are stupid. ChiTown knows that too.

I don't even have a problem with calling ChiTown a drama queen. She is, as am I, as are several of the members here. I'm quite proud of my drama queen status.

No, my friend, I only wanted whatever discussion was going to continue to be conducted in the third person, rather than getting personal.

However, I think Squidley is right. This thread should probably die.
