Perhaps this needs to show up on all pages or perhaps in the section where you compose a reply as it doesn't seem like a lot of members are seeing/following it? Every time I check threads it's all the same person who last posted on practically every one. I know you mods and admins know this but....

here's my thought, i know its annoying, but i'm guessing as much of a pain in the ass it is for us to weed through the posts and try to figure out when new videos are posted, its probably ten times as hard for the mods to go through and figure out who actually wants to be a part of the board and who just wants to bullshit posts to get free videos.

That said, it is annoying to get on to the video thread and look at who last posted and see 'lionking190', 'lionking190', 'lionking190' and wonder if there was actually new videos posted or if some guy just found 10 three month old threads and said 'thanks, great vid'

I think we are in complete agreement. My point though was that maybe the "New Decree" about not spamming threads just to increase post counts needs to be in a place where people are certain to see it, perhaps right where they would type their post. It may not help much but possibly those who would actually abide by it may not know this is a rule.

I know uploaders are upset about rats in the building, but increasing post counts only increases useless "thx" posts, and a determined individual or group will not be deterred by that.

But you have to realize that there are people who don't have the capability to upload videos. The best least they can do is to thank the uploader for his/her hard work. I don't think this forum should end up a private server with only the top uploaders being able to view stuff. If you don't say thank you in a post when you can't upload anything, what else can you say? "this video sux"? Or should we just not let people who can't upload anything on this site?

What do you want to ban him for? He's at least talking sense (unlike you.) Don't knock people for trying to be helpful even if you don't agree with him. Can you come up with any ideas?

Somehow I don't think my meaning got across. What I was suggesting is to add the text of the "New Decree" to the reply area so people will be more likely to see the warning about making bogus 'thanks' posts. Odds are (IMHO) most users don't read those sticky threads and just go straight for the content, then start spamming when they catch on to the post limits.

I'm guessing he meant ban people when you see them spamming with thanks all over since I mentioned seeing that in my text.
