So, we have a lurker here who managed to cause Sani to have "300 GB of videos" deleted in one day? Not to mention all of the other links that have been deleted?

Sorry guys, but I'm having a hard time believing that one. I think it's quite possible that RS is simply deleting files that link from this forum. RS doesn't want certain type of files on their servers. They don't want porn and they certainly don't want rape fantasy porn and well, it's not hard too figure out that a video posted on a forum called RAPE BOARD, is most likely rape porn.

It's also possible that they are running bots to detect and delete files that contain certain words.

Anyway, I suppose time will tell whether the new system manages to put a stop to the mass deletions.

Bots can't do anything when for example Sanitarium had all of his password protected properly and the archive files did not have any words giving away what is inside of those files. I've seen mass deletions where few links have been skipped and that is not something that an automatic system like you described would do. Also I doubt they even have the recourses to surf around the internet to find out where their links are used and every deleted link will even reduce their chance of getting paying customers. It is only logical to hit an entire thread at once if you want to inflict as much of damage as possible so gathering the links to a notepad from Sanitarium's thread before reporting them is a considerable possibility.

That being said I do believe you have a point with this deleting system you were referring to. It appears that RS might have deleted some files originating from the same users and site than those files that were previously reported and deleted for having obscene and copyrighted material.

Well it is just speculation at this point though.

I'm sorry if this "offends" some of you but honestly: So many people here are putting in a lot of time and effort to upload the videos, create screencaps, making movie files that are otherwise hard, even almost impossible sometimes, to obtain available to our members.
In my opinion it is highly ungrateful to bitch about post count limits that are supposedly too high for you to reach. This seriously makes me angry ... show a little gratitude!
Otherwise ... why don't you leave this place to get your wank-material somewhere else ... Jeez!

Concerning "deletion of the links":

Does it really matter who reports the links, why and how many of those twits are there?
No!
It happens and we have taken measures to avoid loss of links.
If those measures aren't enough we will have to think about other possibilities but for now this is what we're trying.

Concerning "link protection system":

The decision is up to the uploaders who do the actual work. I can certainly understand their frustration when a lot of work is lost because of one or several morons.
If you oppose these means so much ... stop downloading!

Is it possible to stop nagging and start appreciating the work so many members do for you?
God ... this constant complaining is really starting to annoy me!

For my part, I’m not complaining, I’m simply offering up ideas/suggestions of how to solve the problem and my suggestions are, in part, based on having seen this same thing happen on several other forums.

@Noir, I wasn’t familiar with the specifics of the files of Sani’s that were deleted, but if RS is simply hitting anything that has the URL of this site as the referrer, then the steps that are being taken now, will make fuckall difference.

I know of one rape forum that once had this same problem, but has now largely solved it. What they did as a stopgap measure was to simply ban hotlinks. Eventually, they installed a link anonymizer and since then, we’ve not had much of a problem.

Anyway, as I’ve said before, only time can tell.

Haven't you noticed an enormous number of new members and posts in last few hours?
I am not very enthusiastic about this solution. All we can get is 'thank you" in every
possible thread and about 120 very similar posts from each new member.

I'm not trying to take a shot at boku, but why are you so harsh on the restrictions? Lemarchand made a good point in his thread about San's Movie guild, so I'm VERY glad that it's up to posts now, not upload input. I do think that the 120 amount is a little bit excessive, but there are more than a handful of very dedicated members who are uploading good quality movies for the low 10s and 15s.

This might be a little harsh comment but I'd rather see some warnings being given in these kind of situations since it is not an appropriate way of gathering the required amount of posts.

That might be true.
However "120" is Sanitarium's individual setting. Every uploader can set his own post count limit. It doesn't have to be "120".
I also think some members might actually get into board socialization and come to enjoy it. By the way: We have several members only participating in fun and game threads ... that way they also reach a certain count limit without being annoying.
I share some of your doubts, don't get me wrong, I might just be a little more optimistic eventually.

I simply think we should give this system a try before we cry wolf and run to the hills.

Don't you think that would be even more "unfair"? Afterall reputation is something a member can't even influence himself, no matter how active and participating he gets.
