The Turkish goalkeeper can play only in finals. He got banned for two matches for atacking Koller at the end of match with Czechs! UEFA took this as assault.
Well, I don't think it was so bad - I've heard he is a little labile, but standard one match after a red card would be enough by my opinion. Nobody got hurt and he even gave us a chance to draw the match |

Dont agree... Kicking the player have to be red card. It is one of the most important rule of UEFA for this championship. So card are deserved.
I think there should be more red cards, I want to see football not ultimate fight. |

The Results of Yesterday Matches
Spain 2 - 1 Greece
Sweden 0 - 2 Russia Russia succeeded to cross the group stage and to be in the quarter-final against Holland after winning by two goals,Archavin was the man of the match and this guy gave Russia another face,I think if he were in the previous matches the results of that matches would be another thing,Russia played a good match and I think if they could have another stricker than Pavluchenko they would be better. I think the injury of Ibrahimovic prevented him to be in his form and for that Sweden wasn't in her form,Sweden is very good in the group stage and they often cross the it but in this time they couldn't. In the other match Greece couldn't even get a draw with the substitutes of Spain and they leaved this Euro without any point, and by this we can consider Greece the worst team in this Euro as they are the only team who didn't get any point. and I'm not with using the red card in this cases specialy when the player banned for more than one match case of this red card, and there aren't problems with seeing some fights during the match. |

I don't say the refree was wrong in giving Abidal the red card but I think if he gave him the yellow card with the penalty he wouldn't be wrong also.

Well, although I definitely root for Germany I am positive Schweinsteiger completely deserved his red card. Of course eventually a yellow card might have sufficed but I think football players stepping up for their countries in the national teams have to act like professionals and can't just resolve to violence (even if there was no "blood injury" it's still an attack on another player).
If they can't control themselves they should definitely be banished from the game and given a penalty. Especially in a championship contest this kind of behaviour falls back on the entire country the player in question plays for so he should be mindful of his responsibilities towards his country and football fans all over the world. Aside from that I simply do not condone violence of any kind if not self-defense. So these kinds of fouls must be severly punished! Keep sports peaceful!

Some players try to provoke the other players buy various ways like insulting or making intended dangerous actions against them, the referee doesn't see this things but he usually see the reaction of the player who face this things, and this was clear in the case of Zidane-Materazzi for example.
but surely what happened from Schweinsteiger and Volkan weren't right as their teams loss them in that matches and in another one or two matches, but Schweinsteiger will play today against Portugal. |

Yes, and Zizou deserved his red card for that as well.
He was (is) a football legend and he distroyed a whole lot of his great legacy by losing his grip on himself when he saw red before he saw red ( ) and slammed his head into his opponent's chest. Professionals who can't control themselves and stand above possible insults by other players don't belong on a playing field, of whatever sport! If they don't want their own team to lose the abilities they can offer they simply mustn't attack other players. It doesn't matter what those did or said before.

Zidane deserved that red card. There is no doubt. About Volkan and Schweinsteiger, I think the mistake is that Schweinsteiger shoudnt get one game punishment, and Volkan two. They should be punished on the same way.
About provoking... Jerko Leko also got yellow card for that. Players should be punished for provoking, but one can provoke until he is blue if other one is professional enough and don't fell on that. |

Now Sweden is out of the Euro, so his captain, Freddie Ljunberg, has more spare time to rape girls. I wish I was the one...

This is the problem of the red card, the team loss the player in that match and maybe in another matches, but I think the player shouldn't be banned for more than one match as he didn't make any dangerous action. |

Yes he deserved the red card but Materazzi was deserve a big punishment after he confess about what he said to Zidane during the match,I see he should banning for about six months.
I'm really wonder why they didn't give them the same punishment as they did the same mistake! |

The Result of Yersterday Match
Germany 3 - 2 Portugal
Germany sent Portugal off in a wonderful match, and and German machines deserved this win and they were better in the most times of the match, the German coach Joachim Löw was smart in his plan,he succeeded to close Ronaldo and also by putting Bastian Schweinsteiger in the right to help Friedrich and prevent any help from Ferreira to Ronaldo, but Ferreira was who need the help for stopping Schweinsteiger, also we shouldn't forget that Frings didn't play in this match but we didn't see many difference in the strength of Germany. I think Schweinsteiger won't be again in with substitutes,he deserve to be in the 11 from beginning. Good luck for Germany in the road of the cup, there is another match with Croatia or Turkey then the final, hope it won't be with the lucky team Italy. Congerats to Sterne and all German members and fans "leaderd by me". |

I really don't like the German style of football. Sometimes it was nice, fast, and the first goal was outstanding. But normally it is based on physicaly strong players and destructive football This is then hard for technical teams to play against (I count our team to rather technical, we always have problems with germany too), especially when they are loosing.
Honestly, yesterday the Germany was probably better and were better prepared strategicaly. The Portugal shooting from distance was absolutely useless, but in the second half they had great presure and I was waiting, when they can score to draw. And then the Ballack's goal came after exactely the same situation as in the first half. I was sick but when I saw it repeated Fuck off 4th place is enough. I don't want Germany to win this championship! |

I found out why: He sat on the bench after was sent off, but he had to go out of the team area, so the second game was because of that.
