An "independant" Scotland.

Laugh? We almost shat! I nearly crashed the fucking van when this came on the radio whilst driving to work.

As we are all tired of hearing by now, the Scottish National Party want independance for Scotland. So next year they're holding a referendum. They want to keep the Pound Sterling, and Her Majesty as head of state, along with retaining membership if the European Union.

This is what they've been told:

Governor of the Bank of England says that if they leave, they can't have Pounds Sterling.

European Union rules require that new countries have to satisfy financial regulations before membership is approved. So the Sweaty Socks would be expelled from the EU and then have to re-apply. As a new country they would be required to adopt the Euro as currency upon being accepted, whenever the next round of accessions will be.

So much for independance, eh? Not that any polls suggest much real support for complete independance, rather than devolved power. Stuck without a currency whilst those snail trail wankers in Brussels and Strasbourg lovingly carve out new rubber stamps, I suppose those devils in skirts could always use flattened Tennants Super tins for money.

On the plus side, expulsion from the EU would mean we could at least stop one lot of useless deadbeats coming to England and fowling up our city streets with their strange ways of dressing and speaking, and pissing and vomiting everywhere!

Birds? I do have trouble understanding the vernacular, but they do bring females, they refer to as "hen". Funny though, they have four legs, and curly coats instead of feathers. I looked it up on the internet, but couldn't find any avian matching that description.

On a totally different matter, I read that the other day a council in England is thinking of rescinding a law that fines people 80 quid if they put out their garbage bins in the wrong place or on the wrong day. People are upset they say. Upset!!! If it happened here the council chambers would be incinerated and the councillors lynched.
How in fucks name does a proud people like the English allow these petty bureacrats to get away with shit like this? I can tell you that if an Aussie was fined 80 quid for having his bin a few inches to the left or right of its proper place, the bin would be through the council window in 30 seconds flat.
How do these plonkers get away with it? Why do the ratepayers allow it.

I've no fucking idea. I think the country has been brainwashed in to bring spineless wankers to be honest. Colour coded bins where I live. I suppose I ought to find out what bin is for what, but can't be arsed. When I changed the brake shoes on my van the other week, I thought I should share the love. So one shoe went in our black bin, one went in the neighbours green bin.

If I get round to changing the oil filter, I'm thinking blue bin. What do you all think?

I'll tell you something else my old china. Our local council decided in its wisdom to stop issuing pensioners like myself the free parking tickets that we have enjoyed for ten years. Plus! they decided that each councillor would recieve unlimited free parking tickets for themselves and their families. Well Ho-fucking-ho.
The shit hit the air conditioner. We petitioned outside the council offices, deluged the local paper with letters and let the fuckwits know that at the following election they would be out on their arses.
Result - Free parking re-instated for pensioners and a grovelling apology.
And the idea of councillors and their families getting free tickets was quietly shelved. Sometimes these plonkers forget why they are there and who put them there.

The sense of entitlement and "rights" in society astounds me. Hardly surprising though with the bunch of crooks that pass for politicians taking the lead. Whatever happened to hard graft, saving for what you want, philanthropy (and I don't mean that just in the sense of the rich helping the less rich, but of those rich in experience passing that on to the young)? And a fucking sense of responsibility for ones actions.

We should start our own country, me ol' China plate, some Godforsaken rock of a place that just sprung up out of the ocean. It would take truly tough people to make something out of that!
