Hmmm ... I've seen a lot of movies in my time on this life so these days I usually don't get scared anymore at all.
But I remember one of the first horror movies I saw ... about when I was 14, scared the crap out of me. "Alien" ... definitely!

Movies dont scare me that much these days. I will occasionally jump at some scenes but then i will crack up laughing at myself for juming at it.
The one movie that had me almost covering my eyes was Silent Hill. I still want to find a movie that will have me scared out of my wits and looking over my shoulder after i finish watching it. |

The Ring gets me, especially cos she kinda looks a bit like my girlfriend and it freaks me out a bit sometimes!

Horrors the last decade have been too predictable, only "The Descent" had me remotely scared out of any of them. When I was younger, "The Omen" was probably the worst.

When I saw the ring with one of my mates we both admitted afterwards he and I made sure we didnt watch the whole "tape segment" LOL just in case having it on film was a conspiracy to have it seen by many people by a terrorised film producer in the first place
got over that one. yes grudge was scary! es the scene with the black thing floating in the ceiling and the cat voice coming out of the boy. *shudder* made all the worse because you feel sorry for the child character. Hostel was pretty gory. But my prize goes to SAW I and III (havent seen II yet and now theres a IV) now thats one scary fucking movie. Last edited by gaggirl; 10-08-2007 at 05:03 PM. |

i totally agree with u hostel was a complete letdown !! also the grudge is the second best to the ring and then thirdly tale of two sisters !! - dont you think saw was shocking but not that scary ?? the asians seem to have nailed the horror aspect with the films i have mentioned although now the honeymoon is over and they havent come up with a new formula !! what do people think of exorcist and poltergeist ?? i loved those films when i was a kid but never really scared me !!

my first horror movie (apart from Xtro when I was a kid sneaking up behind my parents couch when very little and quite frankly I reckon its why I'm so icky about womens body bits (the giving birth to full grown man scene)0 was night mare on elm street and I couldnt go to sleep without the lights on for a week! delicious
freddy vs jason? freddy any day of the week! I thought Saw was scary because of the element of being captive and some cold sadistic person in control of you and if thats not enough, imagine being pitted against your own weaknesses and sometimes having to make some horribly ingenious ironic and fucking painful sacrafice! the idea of being in that situation well I dont want to even think about it we all do things wrong , but watching saw makes me paranoid about it!
