Global warming is NOT caused by humanity. Does anyone else think that just two hundred years of industrialisation has changed 4.5 Billion years of global environmental development? Nonsense. State of Fear...excellent book.

The Earth is essentially a closed system, Gaia insists on balance...so whilst change will come, thats just part of how the world works as a system. If this means islands sink under the seas, the Gulf Stream fails, the ice caps melt...so what? who the fuck are we to determine what is "right" for the planet. Jesus, "modern" humanity has been active for what 10,000 years of so...why the fuck do we think we have an understanding of global dynamics...the world will change. People will suffer. Countries will fall. Crisis will come.

Its how we deal with that change that will determine whether we can survive as a race....or even whether we deserve to survive!!!

Fuck me I'm pissed off today. Ego. Its all your fault.

PS Most long term analysis actually turns UK into an ice bucket...bring it on!

Louise is absolutely 100% correct on this.. i know im sick of turning on the news and seeing the media just continually perpetuate the myth that we are all destroying mother earth because someone somewhere didn't recycle a beer can. This is a purely politically driven motive.
the earths climate is cyclical...our planet has been through far more turbulent and destructive times than this and it will so again... it's the nature of all things to renew.
