Here are a few gems found in some essays written by American students in college:

Judyism had one big God named "Yahoo"

Hitler's attack on Russia was secretly called "Operation Barbarella." The German invaders were popular for awhile in Russia, but their habit of slaughtering innocent civilians tended to give them an image problem. The Russians defended Stalingrad feercely, as the city was named after Lenin.

Christianity was just another mystery cult until Jesus was born. the mother of Jesus was Mary, who was different from other women because of her immaculate contraption.

During the Dark Ages it was mostly dark.

The Civil Rights movement turned around the corner with Martin Luther's famous "If I had a Hammer" speech

Hitler's instrument of terror was The Gespacho

The Parthenon was Pericles greatest erection.

Hitler, who had become depressed for some reason, crawled under Berlin. Here he had his wife Evita put to sleep, and then shot himself in the bonker.

The Russians invaded Poland to show the revolting Hungarians what was what.

That is some of the funniest stuff I've read in a while. And it was compounded by the guy who didn't get it just above. That's proof right there. And Sani, I agree with you, however, with the amount of money being put into our school system in comparison to nations around the world, I expect much better. It is a fact that Americans know very little of the world around them, whether it just be plain ignorance or something more egotistical.

Americans are probably shocked to know that there are more than 6 nations competing in the Olympics too! "There's Europe, and Asia... and America..." Its sad in my opinion.

If there is one thing I admire most about Americans, is their ability to make fun of themselves.

Which is not hard to do, come to think of it.

When the modern ships are made from steel and iron the idea the greeks had was't that absurd in the end.

Well, in Spain a few years ago they were having problems with birds hitting airplanes on take off. Sometimes the birds would smash on the windshield so hard, it would crack it. It was very dangerous.

another factor has got be the university system here in the US. for example the college sports...most of these meatheads can hardly spell but they are given a free ride in academics...then theres things like "criminal justice" and ROTC degrees, yet more meatheads but with guns...the 4 year "degree" program they go thru is about as erudite as a box of cereal...the "business administration" majors...future managers of mcdonalds...the "music" degree majors...3xHEH! at their curriculum..."womens studies"? omg and theres even degrees in "gay literature" at some of the more liberal universities.Then theres the vocational and junior colleges...really the collegiate system here has dumbed itself way down in the name of the almighty dollar...too stupid for a BS? no problem! as long as you got money or financial aid we will design a degree for you! heh. america...what a queeff.
