Have you ever noticed Gays are more accepted in people eyes than Lesbians ?
I can't talk for every country but in France it is obvious.

Gays are putting up bars, night clubs, they organize the gay pride,.....etc...
Lesbians tend to be much more discrete because they're looked down.

I would be very grateful to the person that can explain that to me.

Well, homosexual men are more "aggressive" when it comes to living their homosexuality in the open and fighting for acceptance in society. As was already said ... homosexuality among women is usually more accepted in most cultures.
Also ... look at men ... many men are turned on by lesbian porn while I don't know a single one looking for male gay porn. Additionally homosexual women aren't "threatening" to you while gay men always could be "hitting on you" ... and that's something most men can't cope with ...

Generally women are more discreet when it comes to their sex lives, naturally includes gay women as well.

You know if you really think about it us heterosexual men shouldn't be against gay men for this simple reason...for every gay man out there there's one more woman available...

there are plenty of women who are aroused by male-on-male action. maybe the porn is too 'hardcore' for them but i still know those who watch it...

look at the amount of slash (m/m fiction), yaoi (m/m anime or manga) and not to mention blogging communities dedicated to pictures etc. surprisingly lesbians are quite prominent in these circles... i think they find it safe to write about 2 men for some reason.

re: the topic, where i live is quite conservative. you can see lesbians everywhere, holding hands and whatnot... but you very very rarely see openly homosexual men. people here are not violent though so i can't really see anyone getting hurt just for being gay, but gay woman are far more accepted... as is the case in most countries. plus they don't need their own bars to act like themselves.

I take it as a compliment though. I could never be gay though, if they want to do it it's fine, but I could never be gay I love women too much. I have to echo SD's comments, less compitition for the rest of us.

Snale, here in the U.K, or at least in my city, it's kinda the opposite of where you are. Lesbians are accepted with no problems and a very open about it all. Gay men however don't seem to be so blatant about it, there is still a predudice here concerning them. That said the local meatheads here seem to be pretty tolerant towards the gay communal hangouts... I've never heard of any problems before.

The both of gays and lesbians aren't accepted for me but I see the lesbians are more quiet and acceptable to see them,also I think the lesbian woman could back normal woman again and her lesbian relations won't make her lose her feminine sense,but the opposite for gays "I refuse to calling them gay men",I see the man who like to be fucked in his ass by another man or suck the penises isn't a man and couldn't back a man again,also the man who prefer to have sex with men than woman is has a sick mind,how he refuse the women and want the men!

Even in animals you won't find the homosexuality except between the donkeys because they are asses.
