The light blue looks good on the dark background here, so I'm fine with you having that colour.
The purple though? I can see that becoming irritating very quickly for forum readers, and I bet people will just subconsciously end up skipping a lot of purple posts. |

I pop in with large bold yellow if I'm trying to warn someone 'cos it stands out really well against the dark grey. Most of the time I'm purely lazy and leave the text white, 'though I did like the purple for my tag line.
The light blue and Gaggirl's pink look nice, and a bit more playful. The 'rainbow coalition' above is impossible for me to read. I don't THINK that I have any color blindness, but I can only see about a quarter of the letters without moving in close and squinting.
