Mediafire first, since it allows multiple simultaneous downloads.

Depositfiles second, since it doesn't have captchas or timers.

My thoughts but please don't get emotional about this!

I'm a free user since I refuse to pay for such services. Anything and everything is available from either bittorrent or usenet so it makes no sense for me..
Having said that I obviously need to use one of the listed sites for content posted here.
So here's my take...

Rapidshare seems like the most popular by far for those who have been doing this for awhile. Why I don't know for sure but I'm sure there are reasons aside from having your links deleted continously.
Megafire is BY FAR the fastest source and they let you download more tan 1 file at a time, how could it get any better? (non account holder) But they do delete porn which I've had done to me.
megarotic is what I've been using the most lately since they allow porn so some rat shmuck can't simply mention the link.
The others are somewhere in between I think.

I only have experience with rapidshare and easy-share. Both of them work fine although they have there limitations...

I don't like deposit (since I am not a gold member). You get a lot of time download slots occupied.

In this moment RS is more faster than other files-hosting services. So my vote goes for it.

It`s irrelevant how fast the host is or how many downloads it offers if the file has been deleted. All that matters is reliability.

According to Alexa RB has lost 20% of its traffic since introducing the link-hiding scheme (which doesn`t work anyway).

for free users, sendspace is the best, as anybody can donwload any file without having to wait, BUT:
while rs keeps the file for thee months if thwere is a donwload, sendspace deletes it after a month , having or not any donwload.

They all have their flaws, so for me - a mere downloader and free user it is best to find different offers.

rs.com is relatively slow (free user!), I can only dl one fil, the waiting time they added the last few days again is annoying and the worst of all - they delete uploads. BUT - they are reliable. I have maybe every 5 or 6 weeks a download that doesn't work (link not available or dl broken) and this problem is usually solved very fast.

mediafire allows multiple downloads but for me it is very unreliable. I get dl speeds between 250 KB/s and 10 KB/s, with an average speed of 40-50 KB/s. I have at least twice a week problems to get a file, either because a dl doesn't start at all or stops prematurly.

megarotic and megaupload - very different dl-speeds

easyshare doesn't work for me at all - don't know why.

other services - no experiences.

I would say Mediafire first and Rapidshare 2nd, but this is because I don't have a Premium account at RS, thus Mediafire's multiple simultaneous download ability is by far the best for free-user downloaders.

Also, I've not had any of my uploads at Mediafire deleted or blocked (yet - crosses fingers).

Of the others, most seem fairly similar, although Depositfiles is perhaps the least friendly with long time delays between d/l's (again, I speak only for non-members)
