I was writing a story earlier today and I realised my swear words have no impact anymore...is this a sign that I am a adult and therefore no longer think it clever to swear...LOL...or are swear words losing their impact?

Fuck / Fucking Hell etc - Used by everyone as a replacement to an exclamation mark

Shit - Standard for an unfortunate occurence "Its raining again, shit!"

Bastard - Just a descriptive of 98% of ex boyfriends/husbands

Wanker - Only really used when driving and requiring a descriptive word for the driver in front, eg. "Oi, Wanker, watch where youre going!"

Tosser - As above, but largely British usage or for when minors / in laws in car

Bitch - I used the word approximately six times this morning talking to my sister...mainly with her being the bitch in question...(she did scratch my car!)

The only word that still carries weight, in my mind, is CUNT!

Yeah...it even feels bad typing it...so gonna use it in my story...

Yes, the word Cunt is so powerful that even women rarely call one another a Cunt. It's not even attractive when used as a descriptive word for pussy!

Maybe over in your neck of the woods. Over here, it's become less of a swear word and more an acceptable name for women. Although it is a bit archaic now...

Thinking on the word cunt, it's actually the original English word for the pussy! It became considered vulgar because women's vaginas were considered vulgar. Yeah I know a lot of weird stuff...LOL
