Simple Rape Question - Rape Board

I see news about horrible rapes and i see things mentioned like a person got raped 3 times. And when they say this, they are obviously referring to just one rape event. Can someone explain to me how a person gets raped 3 times or 10 times? I think i read something like a person said she got raped 25 times.

Do they mean they got raped by 3 or 10 different people?

Excuse me if this is a very nooby question

I would assume that they are referring to multiple instances of rape during a sexual assault lasting a relatively long period of time.
And this question is getting very close to the edge of discussing real rape which is against the rules, so be careful bringing up such matters!

Hi. I didn't think this question was against the rules because i was just asking about something that does happen. But when i read it was just guy who raped them and said he raped her 3 times, i just don't understand why its 3 and not 1 since its the same time.

Anyone else?

It probably is down to how "rape" is defined in law. Specifically, it's actually an act of non-consensual penetration. "rape" isn't defined as a series of acts. So, if a person (male or female) is non-consensually penetrated by more than one person (in sequence or simultaneously) then that is more than one rape. If one guy penetrates without consent more than one time then that is more than one rape.

I didn't think this was against the rules, cos I thought it was a reference to how it is discussed on this forum and clarifying something. And it wasn't a nooby question...it was a really good question.

There was a woman raped in my city a few years ago, raped 8 times by the same guy........3 times in one night, twice again another night and 3 times another night.....so he was charged and did time...........came out and shacked up with her when he got out......go figure..............

I think each act of penetration counts as a rape, even if is all done in one session. So penetrating the victim for a few minutes, pulling out for a break and penetrating her again counts as two rapes even if he only cums once.

I remember years ago reading about a woman who had been abducted in a van and gang raped by 15 guys over 9 hours (they drove her around to several different locations and let their friends have a piece) and one of the rapists had penetrated her 12 times. His buddies would pull him away for their turn an dhe would come back to continue. So it was 12 counts of rape for him when judgement day came, even though he only cum a couple of times in the unfortunate victim.

An older man shared at an AA meeting I attended that his daughter had been raped a couple of times. Moral of the story, alcoholic dad leads to alcoholic daughter who puts herself in situations that turn bad.
