what you ridin on homie?
'you ain't ridin (you ain't ridin) you ain't bumpin like i'm bumpin you ain't sayin nothin homie, you ain't fresh as i'm is'-Freshasimiz-Bow Wow, the gangsta-ist of the gangstas.
Thought popped into my head earlier today as i was reminiscing on my recently departed vehicle, how much i felt like my car was a part of who i was. My first car was a teal 96 chevy cavalier (not me at all) which i had for about 2 years, then i had a red 97 nissan xe, my 'man truck' which i had from 18 till 23, and now i'm driving my dad's grey 05 corolla till i get my blue 03 Altima next month (love the color and the car). Point of the thread was that i loved my truck and picture myself as a 'truck guy' (even though mine was a baby truck). So the question is what do y'all drive and how much of your personality is put into what you drive?

I am ummm "riding" a commodore with a roller girl bad ass sticker on the window. I prefer sleeker black spoiler type cars *sigh* but i was forced to get this manly 4 door mobile instead. its got tinted windows spoiler 17 inch mags, pink windscreen wipers.... my "dream" car might be aa rebuilt TRANSAM yeah.... but given how much fuel it uses id hav to have a black integra, or a suziki 600 ( I still want my own bike dammit) hubs rides a red and silver k7GSXR talk about a sexy machine.... you could just about wipe me off the bike rather than have me hop off.

I drive a Renault Kangoo, supplied by work. It's small, and is not up to the job. It says more about the company I work for than me. I'd push the fucking thing off a cliff and quit if I knew I could walk into another job, but times are tough for construction industry at the moment.

Toyota Yaris... Drive exactly how I feel.... don't speed, but don't slow down to turn either.

My first car was a 1996 Nissan Altima. I loved that car. Wrecked it.
Then, I had a 1996 Saturn SL1. Hated it. Husband bought me next one for anniversary. 1993 Mustang GT- red and silver, nice stereo, but it drove like crap (I fund out later he had removed the shocks so that I wouldn't speed). Then, my parents bought me a blue 2005 Jaguar X-type, which I liked ok, but I couldn't fit 4 kids in it easily, and when I got pregnant with #5, it had to go. Now my main vehicles are 2005 Ford Excursion (6 mpg) and a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee (with 4x4 and Hemi- I love the Jeep). When I need to tow, I have a 2001 Dodge 3500 dually. |

Well my favorate of my cars is my red mint condition 1998 Z28 convertable w/$4000. in audio/video equiptment in it.10 years old but looks as if it just rolled off the lot.Still sits on stock aluminum wheels and Goodyear tires but the interior and engine is altered a bit.I loved the stock exterior so I left it that way.
My daily driver is much less of a headline.I sort of feel like an adult when I drive it.yuck!Ha,Ha!

holy hell, lexie, i would kill to ever have any kind of jaguar...jeez 6mpg, thats crazy.
ha, why, i love cars that make me feel like an adult, never been too crazy about flashy cars, unless their flashy/luxury. But can't say i would mind having $4,000 in equipment in a car, i'd probably just sell it, but if it were given to me, that would be awesome.

It was the small Jaguar. I don't remember how much it was (since I didn't pay for it), but I think it was close to 38K, so it's not like it was a real luxury car. My Jeep is way more luxrious than the Jag was.

I drive a 2000 Toyota Rav4. I bought it because at the time I had big dogs to haul around, and also because if I had kept the Mazda RX-7 I would eventually either get my licensed yanke or be dead.
I like to go fast.
