anyone having problems with rapidshare? - Rape Board

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone is having real real slow downloads from rapidshare this weekend. Only a few days ago I was downloading like 130-150 kbs from rapid share and now i'm downloading like 49.0 kbs from rapidshare is anyone else experiencing this this weekend?

I'm assuming this is some new feature that is only limiting the downloading speed of the users who do not have a premium account. They did remove the annoying confirmation questions so at least for me this was a positive change.

It is another thing if you two have paid rapidshare accounts though...

No i'm not a premium member...but yeah it's sucks...usually my speed is about 700 KB/sec...now is at 54...this is not cool...

Doesn't really matter when you still need to wait forever each time you download a single file.

slow dl's...time outs...incomplete files...all since they changed the interface.
good part is they got rid of that annoying confirmation code thingy and they stopped the 1 hour period to wait...i predict a return of the waiting period :/ they servers are prolly gettin hammered

I'm premium and it's been much slower last day or two for me too. My upload speed has been slow for about a week as well - was getting around 100 KBs, now about 50.

Yeah it's been slow for me.... BUT i don't have the wait time anymore so i can constantly download. files of 100 MB took 5 minutes to dl and i had to wait 2 hrs to download a new file. Now 100 MB files take 30 mins, but i can download a file right after its done with no wait time.

I haven't had any problems so far.
True ... when I download as a free user the download speed seems to be limited to around 40 - 60 k/s but when I use my premium account I still download full speed.

Yep. I'm still having problems uploading. I'm just about to give up on Rapidshare. The good news is, now I'm downloading faster than ever.

So I guess I'm just going to forget about uploading and concentrate on downloading as many files as I can before Rapid decides to fuck that up, too?

They have done some major changes to the site lately so I wouldn't give up on it just because of the last couple of days. Can't expect them to get the site running smoothly right after that kind of changes in my opinion.

By the way is this thing of getting rapidpoints from premium users brand new feature or did I just hit some magic barrier with the amount of files I have uploaded on my collectioner's account?

ugh well I guess i'll buy the 3 day rapidshare premium service and see if that works, I just checked megaupload to see if maybe I had a virus causing slow download speed but on megaupload everything was downloading around 200 kbs or a little higher so that is good its not a virus atleast. But hopefully after I buy the 3 day rapidshare premium account my download speed gets back to normal

Rapidshare has been telling me for 4 days now that my IP is already downloading a file, free user account, and I'm not downloading anything cuz it wont let me..lol

rs changed ... now they have the "speed dials" , no code to enter . and somebody else said no waiting for free users .

Man rapidshare sucks now everyother website I get 200kbs or higher and with rapidshare i'm still at 53-60kbs which is pathatic, I had to download a download acclerator to get my speeds back up to normal I even get 50-60kbs on my premium account without the acclerator. Do you guys think this is a virus or something with rapidshare?

my rapidshare d/l speed still is the same as when i got the account . if i was still a free user i'm sure it'd be slower .

I know!!! On the one hand, it's a fucking dream come true! I've been downloading like crazy these last few days, and especially considering that they may yet change and tweak their system a bit again, and it's possible I will not be able to download anything anymore. So I'm like, in a "panic mode," simply downloading, downloading, downloading.

However, I can't upload anything. I tried again today. And I sent them a message asking them what the problem was. Naturally, they didn't bother to answer.

But hey, as long as I can download free stuff, I ain't complaining!!!
