But some kinds of incest are not ok.

And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. Leviticus 20:11

And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them. Leviticus 20:12

And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you. -- Leviticus 20:14

So it is ok to rape your daughters, but not your father's wife, daughter in-law, or his wife's mother. Why? Because they are not your "property", they belong to another man. But go ahead and rape your wife and daughters all you want - the bible says it's ok.

You can take the whole of the 10 commandments, and boil it down to "Thou shall not steal."

You can rape anyone, so long as they don't belong to another Israelite!

Women are property. And there are some properties you don't have to respect. Lots of pillage and rape in the bible.

Well, Em, you seem to be taking this from the old testament, however, after Jesus came and was crucified, that abolished the old testament laws and way of life.

Tis my meager understanding from those I know who have studied the bible and those I know to frequent church.

Also, God destroyed Sodom and Ghamora (sp), so I don't think that behavior was well approved.

MAN has also made incest a taboo.. and yet the entire human race is founded on incest.. first there was adam and eve..only.. now there are billions of people.. had to be some daddy humping, mother porking.. brother blowing somewhere. Actually, from the looks of it, Eve's Son's didn't...using the Bible the line of Adam came down through Cain who married a woman from the land of Nod...Oddly, we never get an answer to where this entire land of other people came from.

Leviticus actually lists a good number of relations that are not suppose to occur...The first of which is:

None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.

Nakedness meaning sexual relations in the King James Version.
