But I guess it's the european point of view which comes from seeing american tourists having a good time when they come to visit our good old continet :-) And don't get me wrong, everybody acts more free if he's miles away from home.

I think the fury and fines over Janet Jackson's 'Waldrobe Malfunction' a couple of years ago kinda adds to this image.

Which is similar to the outrage in India 'bout the kiss on stage between Shirpa Shetty (I think I've spelt it right) and Richard Gere, in things like that the two countries aren't that disimilar.

As for work, my rule of thumb is don't touch at work (though accidents do happen ahem, especially at the staff xmas party, but that's kinda expected here in the UK) and I only make rudish jokes and comments to women (and sometimes men, I'm straight but hey it's the 21st century) that I know well enough that they wouldn't take offence, and then these are only along the lines of Carry On film style humour.

That said, a lot of the women I know, and this weirdly includes my mum , know more dirty jokes than an ship full of sailors.

Anyway I don't think the two countries are similar. A movie like American Pie would get banned outright. Even tamer movies are getting banned here(or they just don't get released).

And Dating or sex before marriage just isn't a part of the culture(maybe in big cities).

Ok, from what you are saying, I am now jealous of the UK now. I think I need to grow up.
