Most ISP's and phone companies in the USA already record all this information for the government anyhow in particular the bigger industry players, this bill is just a way to enforce the smaller ones keep records as there is no requirement for them to do so at this time and the bill will ensure they do.

I am afraid big brother has already being watching you for alot longer than you think.

Was joking earlier but one thing about this proposed bill is it has to get through two Houses of Congress, be signed by the President and withstand challenges before the Supreme Court! So sit back and watch for now...
