This old mansion is from a movie, I don't know if it actually exists.
But I fell in love with it (also the interior) the second I saw it. It's just the kind of place I would love to live in!
I've been to a few manors like it here in Germany but I don't have any pictures of them so I posted this one representing what I like.

Your grandma used to call you "Snale"?

Have u seen a movie called "Meridian"? It runs in an old tower, has a scene of (somehow) forced sex.

haven't seen that one. I don't know about you, but horror movie are starting to scare me. It is very strange because I used to love them as a teenager and now I tend to avoid them. Maybe that's a sign of getting old (35) lol well not so old...

Thinking about this, most of the tales i read when i was a kid, are scaring for kids....

It's a restaurant. They want to keep some of the "classic" buildings in town. I guess they want to preserve some of the old style although I don't know how it's supposed to work in a neon city like this.

Possibly but when you're in there - a classic building, fitting interior - the whole refuge things goes up right in your face as soon as you take a look out of the window at the outside and the rest of the city.
Some smart people built refuges like that on the countryside - they're a huge success. Takes some time to get there but to many people it's worth it.

I said that ironically, but you are correct.
Greece is full of old or very old towers, mansions or buildings generally, lost in middle of nowhere that are turned to hotels.Some keep their atmosphere and nobility.Its really attractive to imagine what was going on 1.000 or more years ago, on the same bed you are sleeping today. Or in the dungeon....
