this is getting stupid....

now links are being blocked HOURS after upload!!!

Somebodies gotta find out whos doing this!

RS haven't the resources - perhaps you need to anon the links first?? it could be however RS is just deleting all links starting from from here!

You know... I visit a few boards, and a lot of people use RS...
I've read a few of the 'theories' people have shared and think the one that makes the most sense is that RS automatically targets this boards URL...

* The whole 'rat' thing made sense... but then I read a few people upped their hidden count to +100 and it still happened. (the only way that would be happening is if it was an inside job? Maybe a long time member that would have a motive to download content from here.... then kill the post.. and piss people off... anyone starting up their own board that is a member here?)

* I've seen more offensive posts on other boards put on RS... and like someone mentioned... I don't think they (RapidShare) have the resources to actually be visually screening every post for content..... so I don't think they are manually removing all the posts...

* Maybe the traffic to RS from this board was enough to raise a flag or two over there and RB now has the honor of having it's own filter added to RS servers?

anyways... just airing out my thoughts.... in the interest of brainstorming this problem.

ummm originally I wanted say thanks for the posts... the links are gone but the previews looked very promising...

For a link to be deleted in hours, unless the rat is constantly online and on the board ... otherwise, it is almost impossible for the rat to act ... here is my theory: rapidshare might have an automatic counter of all links on its site, once the hit rate reaches a predetermined level, say 100 hits in 3 hours, rapidshare's server would automatically alert the owner of the site ... the rest is history ...
