had been warned several times about the big oak tree in the middle of the woods. i'd been warned never to go there, under any circumstances. But i had never prided myself on listening to advice.
Which brought me back to the situation i found herself in two years later as idrew close to the center of the woods where the big oak tree was. All of a sudden, i screamed, and before i could find out what was wrong, something heavy hit me at the back of my head, making me see stars. Which was the last thing i saw before i slid into the nothingness of unconsciousness.

i groaned softly as i came to. i was groggy and disoriented. i couldnâ€™t remember what on earth had happened. A few minutes later, everything became increasingly clear.
