I prefer the 60's early 70's easy listening. I always say I was born too late for certain preferences I enjoy...sports was much better back then and music.

Well, I love rock music. I'm not such a fan of giving names and categories making people discussing if what they listen to is Power metal, gore, and so on. Just to make you a picture, I received my first classic guitar coupled with a Lennon's lyrics book when I was 8 years old. I immediately turned into a Beatles' fan and consequently to all the 60's movement: Stones, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Doors, Janice Joplin, etc. Then, I passed through really hard times when I was a teen and I got into the hard, dark and creepy side of rock: Black Sabbath, Metallica, Pantera, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Napalm Death, Sepultura, Anthrax, Slayer, and many other great bands. My 20's were featured by bands like Iron Maiden, Dio, Rainbow, Megadeth, ACDC, Overdose, Pro-pain, Rage against the Machine and others like. Now, I'm in my mid-thirties and I guess that I am a fan of all the bands that I've mentioned to you previously plus Pink Floyd, Savatage, Ozzy Osbourne, Testament, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tool, Kyuss, Death, Judas Priest, Venom, Stratovarious, Strapping young lad, and so on. As you see, it would not be easy to tell you what music I'm listening to. The only thing I can tell is that music is part of my life and it is hard for me to imagine a single day without it. For instance, while I was writing this post I was listening to the fantastic voice of Ronnie James Dio and the marvelous guitar of Ritchie Blackmore in a song which I hope can last forever and ever... Long live to rock 'n roll.

I remember when I was 25 I was wondering 'will I still be a Metal Fan when I turn 30?' And today, just like you, I'm 36, and I'm still listening to 80's Metal. I guess it's tatooed in my brain now. I made efforts to change my style of music. I really did ! My guitar teacher was a Jazz freak and he made me listen to Jazz players like that Californian guy named 'Pat Metheny'....I also bought some old 'John Coltrane', I tried to listen to some classical music, to no avail.....metal still rules me.

i use to listen to Nick Drake, Tim Buckley, Neil Young, Lou Reed...too...
but in general i'm more into undeground music...from the end of the '70 to the mid '90...
bands like the Scratch Acid, the Butthole of Surfers, Big Black, Unwound, Jesus Lizard, Laughing Hyenas and so on....

i don't like metal at all...lets say that i'm into another kind of music...totally out of the music business
probably nobody here cares about what i'm saying...it's possible!
