SN Origins
What is the origin of your screen name?
My screen name is after the Latin phrase for post mortem art that translates into "Remember you will die." Victorian memento mori, for me, are very haunting. The bodies are painted and posed to look as alive as possible. Since it may get me banned to share some examples, here's a link to some more information. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memen...edirected=true |

Good evening, Memento Mori. *bows*
Very fascinating, the origins of your name. I agree on the art being rather haunting as well. For myself, as someone in my visitor messages pointed out, I lifted the name from a Neil Gaimen book, American Gods. Years ago, I haunted the internet under the name King of Lies. After reading Mister Gaimen's book, I took on a fondness for the mortal name he had Loki use and stole it for myself.

Wow. I see a lot of thought can go into these names. Unfortunately I can't use the screen name I use everywhere else. In the day of google and the like that is not a good idea if you need to worry about who sees what online. So....
When I signed up here I thought of me too. Since it is only me it came to just me too. Not a lot of thought process went into it. |

I have other screen names I use in my mundane life. My last one was figured out by a relative, and googled. I seldom feel shame, but having a parent catch you on rape and beastiality sites is a tad much. Memento is the side of me I allow few to see.

Google can be both a blessing and a curse for sure. The thing to keep in mind is that it never forgets, even on the old newsgroups. There were some things I posted back then that I'm glad can't be traced to me now. It does take the fun out of it though in ways as I really like one of my other screen names.

Essentially I thought this would gain the attention of people so I could ask them about their rape fantasies. When I joined, I was curious and wondered how someone could have this type of fantasy. Then after viewing the material on here it became my fantasy.

My screen name has a story.
The name Solo came from two things. A laundry detergent in the 80's and the fact that I was a only child. When you're a only child, and shy, you are usually by yourself, or solo in your activities. I adopted the name when I was very young, and used it most console RPG's that I played, because they only allowed four letter names back in the day. As time progressed, the name followed me, though it was never used as a street tag. Even people who know me off the net, know I go by Solo, but never call me that, only Chris. When I started venturing online, I would always use the name Solo. I discovered that others had the same, so I put "The One" in front of Solo to distinguish me from some other person named Solo. Now I always use TheOneSolo though the meaning has changed. Nowadays "The One" isn't referring to me, it's referring to everyone and everything else in it's entirety. All being One, or The One. Solo represents the part of The One that is separate and connected.

BTN is just from the film Hot Fuzz where the main characters say "Bring the noise". I just liked the phrase and used it a fair bit in my everyday life.
In hindsight I sort of wish I had gone with Admiral

I can see we have some creative people in our midsts.
I actually, almost, without thinking used my normal screen name. Thankfully, I did consider google, since a quick search would give away not only some of my youtube videos but my information to anyone determined enough to get it. I shaped this name for a character of mine on an mmorpg about 5 years ago, knowing that most people would shorten it to 'Lori' instead of always spelling it out. Since the name 'Lori' is actually my own, spelled differently, the name always stuck with me so I'm not likely to forget it. |

Mine came from a book I read when I was younger. It's the name of an antigonist whom is a male vampire. Vampire's aren't really my thing anymore but still he is one of my favorite characters I can think of. Then they had made a movie about the book I had recently watched. When I came to this site, Murlough was the only username I could think of, even though it's a male's name and I am a female.

Everyone calls me Lis, S/O calls me "Listen" as my pet/ slave name, and consequently as a reminder to do as he says or face my punishment. It also works for him to use my traditional nickname in public as a subtle reminder.

instead of making a new thread , I am posting this image for member Butt Stalker - I made this avatar for him.
Thanks I don't mean for this to be vanilla but I can make some other avatars for those who might like my butt fetish kind of mind. also a smaller version maybe that will work too Last edited by analeyes; 10-24-2011 at 04:52 PM. |

Mine is, obviously, a play on the Jack and Jill nursery rhyme, but with a more incestuous slant.
