Default Rape at College Campuses Questions

I read that rape/sexual assault occurs in 1 in 4 women in college campuses. I graduated from college a few years ago but i had went to a commuter college so I never had the college experience most students get as with parties and living with other students.

My question is with rapes and sexual assaults happening in college campuses, do most of them occur in dorms, apartments or at parties usually? I'm also very curious about this. Are the rapists... are they usually mostly the older guys like juniors and seniors or freshman and sophomores? The same with the girls. Are they usually the younger girls like freshman or sophomore?

I just assume that if rapes occur, almost usually the guy is older than the girl at the college. Also, would i be right most graduate students aren't usually the guy rapists and its almost always undergrads? Do grad students even participate in those things or are most of them very serious studying? I don't know why but the idea of say a guy who is a freshman raping or sexual assaulting a girl who is say a junior or senior or even grad student and lets say she is very hot looking, that type of story turns me on a lot.

Anyone here can answer my questions about this?

I have no idea about any of the questions you ask. However, that 1 in 4 statistic is surprising! Enough to make one reconsider college, I would bet.

I would like to think I'm the kind of woman who can watch her own back, but my very first night at university my friends and I were wandering around the town drunkenly after a house party with some old male friends from high school and some new friends from the football team. I can't remember how, but somehow one of the football 'dudes', whom I had nicknamed "Lurch" (..guess why) got into my dorm building, then my floor, then my wing and eventually he had followed me down the hallway to my room and I was surprised to turn to close the door and see him standing there, basically taking over the entire frame and wanting to wish me a goodnight. So I did and kept trying to be done and close the door, after some 'polite' back and forth he put himself between me the door and frame so I had to just - rush at him and close the door as fast as possible. It worked and I learned a fast lesson and have been weary of stranger danger (especially of the 'lurch' variety) since.
And then I come onto rape forums and indulge in a different brand of 'stranger danger'...

I didn't hang much with the party crowd in college. Though my freshman year in the dorms one of my friends was raped by a guy she had been dating, also in the same dorm as her. It's a lot of young women getting out the world for the first time and not knowing the basic protections that women learn on their own yet. Though this is a bit too real life for me too.

I'm at uni. Stayed at a friends house after a night out, he basically assumed that since I was staying at his he could do whatever he wanted to me. Kept trying to have sex with me bar me saying no about 4 times before he would listen!

Yes I was a first year and he was a second year!

NPR interviews someone on the source of one of the claims that some huge percentage of women had been raped. Their survey question was to the effect of have you every had sex with someone when you didn't want to. By that logic, most people in long term relationships have been raped.

I have no idea what the real number is, but when I was in college, there were no on campus forceable rapes reported in 4 years on a campus with 23k students. There was one attempt. Of all the girls I knew, none admitted to being a victim, all though 2 could centainly be claimed to be.
