Rape fantasies common?
Do you think most men have some sort of rape fantasy? I sure hope so! I would hate to find out that my man found it weird and could not get into it.
In your experiences, do you think most men can get into your kink? As for the men, do you think amongst males, rape fantasy is a bit more common than one might think? How common would you say? I have had guys say stuff like "I just want to rape you" and then they get all weird and say "just kidding"...but are they really? |

i think so, i think most guys have at least domination fantasies. If it weren't illegal and so badly stigmatized, i think there would be a ton more rapes.
As far as guys being able to get into it, i don't think most guys can just get into having a rap fantasy today. Its looked upon so negatively as such a despicable crime that i think we have all been socialized as men that rape just isn't something a man does. I definitely think the fantasy is alot more common than it appears. If you admit to having the fantasy you are looked at as a freak or a sicko. How common? In contrast with my last statement, while i think its more common than most people think, i still think its a fairly small minority, for the reasons stated above, mainly that we're socialized to think of it as despicable crime. HA, in my experience, when guys say that its just a joke, yeah they wanna have sex with you, but rape, probably not. I think the reason that they get weird is because they're afraid that you might have taken them seriously and worry that you think they're a creep. Just my opinion, hopefully its helpful in some way .

Personally I think it must be very common, because this is an instinct that is inborn in all males, even if the vast majority never act on it due to the constraints we all have to learn in order to exist in stable social groups.
In a state of nature, males who committed rape whenever they were sure they could get away with it would produce more offspring than those who did not, therefore natural selection must have favored the spread of whatever genes contribute to the impulse. Many men who would never otherwise rape have felt the impulse, and yielded to it, as members of victorious occupying armies -- the one situation where (in most cases) rape can be committed with virtual impunity. It's at least plausible that almost any man would do the same if he were put in the same position (which most of us never are). Rape is about as common among chimpanzees as it is among humans, and much more common among orangutans (two of our four immediate relatives within the great ape group of primates). So most men probably do have such fantasies from time to time at least, even if, due to their social upbringing, they prefer to suppress them. But we will probably never know for sure. It's something most would not admit to, not even in an anonymous survey.

Yes, I think there would be a lot more rape but for legal and societal constraints.

No. It is I believe quite rare, 10% tops. Actually, I think there are men on this board that don't really have this fantasy.
The reason being that the social movements from the 60's, most notably feminism, brought us today a generation of men that are basically pussy whipped.

The one sure thing is all men thought about it at least once in their lifes. But a simple thought is not much.

And perhaps we wouldn't even be who we are today if not of prolific rape in our early history? I mean, if Mr Neanderthal had to take Ms Homo Sapien to a dinner and a movie before making her pop fifteen kids, I'm sure we'd be extincted by now, so i think rape fantasy is basically an instinct for men, which is exactly why it is outlawed. "I can't get any girls to sleep with me-I have to rape them-I fantasize about rape!" Those guys are not really into it, and will have second thoughts or punk out entirely when actually offered a RLRP by a female.

In my experience, teaching in the BDSM community, rape fantasy is common, but as observed, stigmatized. Men tend to get into bondage, light flogging and spanking, and very gradually work their way towards 'force fantasy' with a trusted partner.
I believe the great comedian Larry Miller said it best: "If women knew what men were really thinking, they'd never stop slapping us."

Obviously there's a huge grey area with regard to "rape"
Personally I just like the woman to fight back, and not give in so easily I'm not into snuff, jailbait, crying, harm or torture. The Japs know how to do it, LOL I guess I like my women to be somewhat submissive...How about a new porn genre? I'd call it JAPOCH...Jap Porn on Caucasian Honeys.. Any honeys want to be photoshopped into a Jap Porn Flick? I'll show ya what I mean |

This has been my experience in the one/two times I've tried to introduce a male I've dated in the past to my fantasy preference. They both had the barney-bad-ass syndrome, *in big burley voice.. * "Oh ho ho! I can do that.. You wannna get raped? Yeah I can do that.. I tie you down and make you cum like you wouldn't believe! I'm a MAN. THAT'S ma' job!" */voice* And when it comes down to it they, meow. My personal experience with those guys is that the bark was bigger than the bite. Once and once only have I had the plesure to experience a man who was truly into RFs. It was pure heaven. While I think there are more people out there that have this fantasy than want to admit it, I think it's still a pretty low % of people world-wide that have it. plink, plink.

it's very common. i'd say fewer guys would admit to it than ladies. I know men are usually more physically open and are more likely to share in public what he is into, but we now have a 'respectful 21st century guy' role to fill. most guys worry about being freaks and take their fantasies to their graves. in this case, a woman is more likely to speak up about her 'indescretions'.
So many women have said 'i really wish there were more guys into this' and even 'women get so wound up about guys being too respectful, we just want to be used' (their words not mine). shame really, because we would all be happier and having great sex if only we weren't so worried.

I'd agree with that. It's kind of hard, at least for me, to tell as I still am pretty new around here. But I'm thinking here in the mid-west it isn't as common as other places. Damn.

Just by looking at popular Japanese comic books, you can tell that rape fantasies are a lot more mainstream and open there than in most countries. Interestingly enough, actual rape, and most violent crime, are rarer in Japan than almost anywhere else.

As said before I would say it has to do with Culture and customs, your upbringing and relationship with parents and how your society punsihes rapists!!
For me I often have those thoughts fantasies but i don't really want to role play them...(well I would give it a try ) as role play rape is fake and I would know it! I don't want to rape for real so for me a story or movie of simulated rape is the biggest turn on. I know it fake but my mind could percieve it to be real. Lets face it the real turn on of this is forced sex, if you know its not forced...well it isn't rape. That is the dilemma here. What suprises me is how many women have this fantasy...which I am very pleased about. I know form my friends and experiences that rape is a very dirty word in the west and I don't think that many men have them. |

Having said all that Chi Town you will find a difference in person to person and I think in other cultures.
In Japan its very common and nearly all rape is unreported, there was even a group of University Students that got together on the web and via text messsges and spotted hot women to molest on trains, heaps of guys were involved, most strangers..they would text the train, time and carraige of the target and surround her to molest! they got busted in the end. perhaps a trip to japan then Chi Town? LOL |
