Does any of you use a paid proxy to surf the net? I just wanna hear what proxy is the best/cheapest out there.

No, but I've been considering it, if it's cheap enough.

I'll be interested in anything you find out.

FYI: A proxy is a method for greater privacy.

Instead of going from pc->isp->website, you go pc (encrypted) ->isp->proxy (decrypts) -> website

Now, any site attempting to track you only sees the proxy server. And anyone trying to tap your usage only sees encrypted messages to/from the proxy server.

While mostly seamless, it doesn't work well with some services, such as rapidshare free.

actually, this proxy I'm using at the moment works great with rapidshare.. I think the problem is public proxies are used by many for RS-links - and therefor they are dead.

I'm using this one: https://www.flashback.name/ - it's about 8$ a month, but the site is in swedish so I doubt that many of you guys can use it
