I Spit on Your Grave (2010) - Rape Board

The movie is out in very, very limited release. Eight theaters, at least according to an interview I heard on the Stern show this AM. Sarah Butler, who plays the victim / heroine, said her mom and sister (21) left during the first half but came back for the second half revenge. The limited release is because the film is unrated. There are various trailers and such on the web.

Really!! you couldnt have put that there was no video in your title!! got me all excited....video should be out soon hopefully though...its limited release so not alot of theatres playing it. maybe get a cam version in the next few weeks...if not then we wait for dvd

All right. I agree this move is going to rock. However, violent revenge on rapists? Isn't this the opposite of what RB represents? Or are we stuck in a pleasant ying-yang situation?

From what I've read in reviews, the rape portion is extremely toned down compared to the original - nowhere near the nudity, explicitness or violence in the original. It shows only 2 of the guys actually doing Sarah, the rest just taunt her.

Instead the movie spends more time showing the revenge she takes in great gory detail.

This was expected, no way were they going to remake the original in these PC times. It has a very very limited release so no way to watch it, and no leaked version is out as well.

The theatrical release is already unrated, but you never know maybe the DVD/BR will still have an extended scene

The Last House thing was such a disappointment. Yeah there ws alot of crying and carrying on but no nudity to speak of. The way the actors were positioned along with camera angles made the scene PG 13 at best. If it werent for the subject matter it never would have gotten an R.

I dont expect much more from a Spit remake either TBH.

Last house scene wasnt too bad...im expecting a bit more from ISOYG...nudity isn't as important to me as the acting....a well acted scene with no nudity can be great.

Indeed. I'm a little surprised this hasn't been leaked yet. Its almost an indie film and a leak would only create more publicity for everyone involved, and the movie has a VERY limited release so most people can't even see it till dvd next year.
