Hmm, well this is a issue, the one i posted last night is still working, thought its funny that not all the rapidshare files have been deleted and the only persons that have access to the files on are via RAPE BOARD, what we have is a someone purposely reporting members files after seeing them here, either someone banned or against the site outright, we have a issue here folks and we need to come up with ideas to combat this, suggestions other than changing from rapidshare, i.e a email notification to trusted members only with links to movies or restricted access to the thread that contain movies to regular members with x amount of posts to there name.

Any other comment by any other members?

This same issue has come up on another rape board as well. The bottom line is, posting of pornographic files is a violatioin of Rapid Share policy. Same goes for anything that is copyrighted. In general though, they only act if they have complaints. It seems to me, someone is trolling these boards and then lodging complaints. Anyway, here's a bit of very good advice that I borrowed from someone on another board.

a couple of little tips to help stop RS from deleting our posts.

Use winrar to zip your files. When you choose the name for the rar file avoid all words like rape, bondage, torture, brutal

Make sure you have "encrpyt filenames" set when you set your password. That way anyone can only see the contents of the file AFTER you have entered your password.

don't use RS for your preview pics. Use imageshack.us or one of the other image host sites. That way RS can't link the pictures to the files.

I have started to do this as I am getting fed up having to reupload files.

but if our banned member is causing trouble, then Cleanfun4all's suggestions seem a possible answer.

If pornography is against rapidshare's policy, then there probably isn't much you can do. restricting content to regular or high-volume users/posters is probably the best method. that way, if someone is trolling the board and then complaining, they would have to be involved for quite some time. somehow, i doubt they would want to do that.

I think this goes a bit beyond a banned member causing problems. I don't know why, but it seems RapidShare has deleted a large number of files. I do think it comes down to one or more people just trying to cause trouble, but I'm not sure if it's the oft-banned member here. The same thing is happening on another board where, to my knowledge, he isn't even a member.

well to be honest i am using www.puretna.com as it has a huge amount of files, its a bit torrent site and all they trade in is porn so they dont have issues with it, in the mean time i will consider the other sites, as much as those sadist's try they will not win.

Holy crap! You go away for a few days of R&R, and when you get back, hell in a handbasket!!! I'm of the opinion that it must be someone on the board causing trouble. I zipped in .rar format, I used gibberish in naming the files, and I posted no pics. The only place I reported the material was here, on rape board. unless someone at rapidshare is going through every post specifically, I'm not sure how else anyone would know about it.

At any rate, I hope you ladies and gents will forgive your's truly for laying low on the uploads for a while 'till I have a better idea of what's going on. This goes for public and private posts. Just don't want to risk any trouble.

I understand how you may be concerned Rheostatic, but by their subject matter, rape fantasy, these types of message boards are always under attack from people who find such discussions abhorrent and shocking and those who make the most noise are often the biggest hippocrates.

sounds like a plan......can the powers that be can device a way so that the page where links to RS are mentioned can only be accessed by...say members having more than a certain number of posts ....or only members who have been active daily within a given timeframe....or something like that?

i would like a system thats available to members who are new but faithfull to the board. dont have huge number of posts here and cant always log on every day but really like being able to access the movie downloads. dont know enough about methods to be able to say how. would a password system be possible? password to be pm'd to trusted members maybe?

I am sure that most forums are able to restrict threads to allow certian access to members only, we use the same at work, some threads you can get into, some you can't, if we had the same system here, new members would have to contribute in say general posts for say the first 30 posts and then if they seem to support the subject we so love then allow them access into the movies thread.
