I know there's this-----but I can't seem to find it anywhere on the net.

I finally have some high quality, UNCENSORED, A Moment Suspended In Time videos ready......there is one problem though.
It's impossible to upload files over 100 MB on MediaFire (as a free member) and most are around 200-300 MB a piece.
I hate split-files and multi-uploading, it's a pain for both the uploader and the downloaders.

I was thinking about using MegaUpload for this purpose, but I don't know anything about the service with MU.
If anyone's using it, or have used it in the past, please inform me of these concerns to the best of your knowledge.

1. Is the service free?
2. Is there a way to check download count per file?
3. Will files get deleted after a certain period of time with inactivity?
4. What is the maximum file size per file, per uplaod?

My responses:
1) Yes.
2) Yes (you have a folder for your files).
3) Nope.
4) 1 gb i guess (but i'm not sure of it...on megashare is of 1 gb...more or less is the same thing).

I believe Megaporn also allows big files as well for free. I believe the only restriction is traffic.

I'm a member now, but the one time I tried loading anonymously, it didn't have any problems.

Yeah, I didn't check the FAQ until after I posted the questions, mainly because there are always certain "exceptions" to the rule------ways around certain limits that isn't stated in the open.
And of course in most cases, the regular users of the server are the ones most knowledgeable




So I'm assuming the "inactivity for 90 days" = "file deletion" applies for free membership just like RS.
Even with that considered, MegaUpload is still better than MediaFire (due to a larger maximum file size of 1 GB).

I haven't checked out the service for MegaPorn yet, but for anyone that's looking for a good file host, I strongly recommend MegaUpload, just keep the links alive and it's better than MediaFire.

Extra Info: Several Features That Rock on MegaUpload.

• Max File Size Per File : 1,000 MB (1 GB).
• Download Counts Per File Can be Checked in File Manager.
• Each File Remains Alive Until 90 Days of Inactivity.

I am aware of that. I was simply pointing out that MF is not the only host with that capability (since a lot of users tend to think so).

It happened to me when i was without internet,and i lost all my Rapidshare files...Now with Mediafire won't happen...

True that, but there is one problem.
Most files, especially those with download links posted on forums (visible to anyone), it is rare for a file to not get downloaded for 90 days.
And by "download," the person downloading can quit the process right in the middle or just not even wait for the download to begin.
The link just has to be clicked by someone, and if that doesn't happen for a period of 90 days, chances are that video isn't necessary.

The problem with the "Login every 60 days" policy from MF is that if the original uploader decided to f*** off and ditch the account, the viewers wanting the videos can't get them no matter what after 60 days.
It doesn't matter how many people download it on a daily basis, after 60 days, it's done. Doomed to hell.
For me personally, there are times when I simply have no time to be doing "this kind of stuff" and that down-time could easily last over 2 months.
If anything, I barely made the 60 days limit at the beginning of the year since I didn't upload anything to MF for almost 2 months.

The only files I ever uploaded to RS got deleted because of Ezzdx or whatever bitch here reported the files.
That's how most files on RS get deleted, very rarely because of the 90 Days limit.

Yes, it does.

Multiple files can be uploaded:that doesn't mean 2 files on full speed.
For example if you upload one file with 400 kb/s,if you put two files,it would be 200 kb/s for each one and that is the same thing as upload one file after another.

Yes,the Max File Size of 100 mb is a pain in the ass,you have to split the files and that is ok if the file is 150 or 250 mb.But files of 400-500 are a pain in the ass for the uploader and for the downloaders too!

No Zip files?Are you sure?Rar files can be uploaded,i do it,so it is the same zip or rar

Last time I tried to upload a zipped RAR file (password protected) I kept getting errors over and over again (Upload Fails).
When I uploaded the same file unzipped, it went though on the first try.
I'm not sure how you did it, but I certainly would like to know for future reference

Unknown Uploading Errors Occur From Time to Time:sometimes it happens in the middle of the upload but it never stopped.The error appears,you click ok and the upload continued in my case

This, I've had happen multiple times. I upload a perfectly normal WMV file after waiting several minutes for the upload to complete, I get "1" under "Failed Uploads."
I do the same thing 2 or 3 times and finally it goes through.
Not sure if the same problem persists on MU, but so far MF is the only host I've used that I've had this happen.

In the end, it really comes down to max file size per file, because 100 MB just isn't enough to upload....well, pretty much anything.
It is beyond annoying to have to download a 14 part DVD set on MF, where you download one, then as soon as it ends, click the next link and download, and so on 14 times.
It's even worse on RS.
Most of those DVDs are right under 1 GB or maybe a bit over, but you still only have to go through that BS procedure twice on MU.
Same for uploads. THAT is what I like.

I use Megaporn, same as MU only they don't delete things just for it being XXX. It's really just the porn half of MU. They let you have up to 1GB as well, I have many full movies uploaded there.
