Looks like the Kings might win their first cup in 45 years, I'm sort of torn on who I want to win this series. The Kings have dominated almost every series they played and deserve to win, but Marty is playing like a champ for NJ and it would be nice for him to get a cup before retirement.

Also Liddie's retirement wasn't too big of a shocker, but that sure does throw a wrench into the Wings line up eh'? Detroit better be ready to make big moves this summer if they want to stay a top contender.

Lidstrom's retirement combined with Rafalski retiring last year definitely leaves a big hole in Detroit's defense unit! They need to go out and sign somebody like Shea Webber to shore up the defense and they really really really need a scoring wing too! The Wings are short on true scoring wings!

And it does look like the Kings are gonna win their first Stanley cup and deny Brodeur his 4th!

Okay now with that over back to important hockey subjects, the Draft and free agency when I hope the hell the Wings really make some big moves to replace Lidstrom and get that scoring Wing they've needed for several seasons now!

Well I have been told I'm rather devilish so the last three digits of my reputation might just fight....

And let me tell you about the salary cap in the NHL! It's the worst thing that has ever happened to the NHL! The Red Wings and your Penguins Lys (Yes, youre Pens!) would be dynasties battling for the Stanley Cup year after year if it wasn't for the travesty that is the salary cap! Level the playing field is the official reason...Well why the hell should the playing field be level?!!!!! If a big market team can afford three times the salary level of some small market joke of a team they should be able to spend that much and put together the wonderful teams like the Wings and other organizations used to!
