Site Request for GRM
Is there a way you can bump up the message maximum lenth? I think now it's 5000 words, 10000 would be manageable. At this point it's frustrating to carry on any intelligent conversation in PM because you have to trim out half of your message.
If you could do that, it would be great, thanks. |

I really like obsessedwithher's posts--found a lot of them entertaining, and thought-provoking on the "serious" ones.
But I disagree here. A thousand words is plenty for a post. Otherwise, it's easy to get carried away (don't we all??) and go on and on with one's thoughts and fantasies. And that can be a bit much. Obsessed: it's tough sometimes, but let's try to be economical and careful with our words. Sometimes I see a long post, lots of text, and I just skim over it. And I'm not being fare to that writer. Let's chat, converse, argue, joke, and above all, fantasize!. Save the dissertations for somplace else. Respectfully and cordially, Prey4Me |

I've never had a PM, here or anywhere else than was anywhere near 5,000 words, let alone 10,000. For that, I am profoundly grateful.

The reason I decided to make the request was that I've had to go back several times in a row and either send off 6 posts to respond to all the points brought up in one mail. I'm usually not that verbose, either. But I figured that if I was consistently getting frustrated over it, I couldn't be the only one. So, I just thought I'd ask; if GRM can't or won't do it, it's far from being the end of the world. . |

Certainly there should be the OPTION to send a long e-mail, since at least a few people seem to want it, non? Not to mention that a lot of the fantasies take a lot of space to write...

The problem came when he was trying to write me a non-so-especially long PM and had to split it into two parts. It included quotes from me so I knew what he was talking about. I in turn had to reply in three parts. It took me ten minutes or so to write the PMs. I believe the PM limit is 5,000 chars each, so 12k chars is really insubstantial.

But brevity is not the spring of quality or compelling arguments.
Well, except this one.
