Cyberrape
Does anyone think cyberrape (sending unwanted sexual messages electronically in real time such text, IM, etc) is as bad as actual rape?

No, I don't think sex spamming can ever be in the same league as real rape!

I am hoping one day for a virtual reality rape.
Heck, why not, they already have virtual reality games, you put on a helmet, gloves and you feel like you are there. It would push the envelope one step closer to the real thing. |

Still, it's not nearly as threatening as the real thing. Think about it... Like the other day some guy in my city just starts sending me pics of his penis through Yahoo! Okay...kinda creepy. But not nearly as creepy as going outside and finding penis pics taped to my car or something. Or having those pics handed to me by my boss!!! Anyway, you just don't feel as vulnerable in front of your computer as you would in person. So I can't really see any girl feeling "too terrified" to close whatever program she's in... or, if truly desperate, unplug something. Actually, I fear the day our country becomes so lawsuit-happy that someone tries to take a "Cyber Rape" case to court. |

Part of me agrees with the sentiments posted here. And yet...
I must confess that I have "committed" cyberrape of a female friend. I basically sent her a two or three unsolicited texts by phone calling her a "fucking whore" and describing what I would do to her. She told me that I was scaring her and told me to stop, which I did. However, now I feel really bad about it. |

It's unnerving and creepy to receive unsolicited sexual harassment via the internet or phone... but it doesn't quite compare to a cock forced into my ass.
So.. no. Not the same. |

That would be the understatement of the year. I do have pics but somehow I don't think she'd appreciate me posting them on a rape forum. On the other hand... |

Prevjay, the fact that you feel bad about what you did says something for your character. Don't ever let that go. It's one thing to fantasize, there has been many women I've encountered that I've fantasized about "teaching a lesson" to. Had I ever followed through, the guilt would have driven me to painted my apartment in brainmatter grey. Point is to find a non-destructive place to channel your energy. Hang with us.
As for "cyber-rape", not in the same category, but still inflicts psychological harm, which is a main component to the physical act. So yeah, IMO, it does rank up there. |

Fine line.
Let's cross it. Say some hot "cyber-rape" role playing led a couple of lonely rape fantasizers to agree to meet in person to act out a rape scene in real-life, real-time. She types in her address, and agrees to leave the door unlocked every day for the next month. He's hoping she'll resist just as vigorously as her online dialogue implies; She's hoping he won't mind the few extra pounds she's put on since the picture she sent him was taken. (He'd specifically wanted a bikini pic, and she hadn't been to the beach in about 3 years.) A week goes by, and a corporate merger at work has extended her work-week to over 65 hours, wiping out any time she might have had for cyber-surfing, and pushing her impending rape to the back of her mind. Still, she remembers to leave the door unlocked.... Big time emergency at work. Merger is about to fall through. Boss sends her right away to Hamtramick, to solve the problem. No time to pack, She'll buy whatever she needs when she gets there. From the airport, she calls her younger sister to check the house, water the plants, and feed Mrs. Whiskers. "Oh, and if you spend the night, make sure to lock the door." she adds, grateful to her work-stressed mind for remembering that. But little sis hadn't planned to spend the night. Fell asleep on the couch, because the only thing on was a repeat of Law & Order--SVU. And she had to close her eyes during the rape scene. It was horrible! Meanwhile, our Hero, the Raypist, chooses that night to come over. He carefully checks the address, and then looks at the photo of the bikini-clad beauty one more time to give him courage. He finds the door unlocked, and Mrs. Whiskers scurries away to another room, just as shy as his victim had told him to expect. The girl sleeping peacefully on the couch is every bit as young and pretty as the picture promised. If anything, she looked even younger, and prettier than her pic! The rope, the gag, the duct-tape, were all placed neatly on the armrest of the couch before she even began to stir. "God I hope she fights, and begs, and cries, and tries to scream." he thought to himself. This would be a night that neither of them would ever forget.... [now of course, the irony here is that he really couldn't be charged with rape. For he lacked any criminal intent. Just a simple misunderstanding, really. Someday, surely all parties involved will look back and laugh, laugh, laugh! Muhhaaaaahaaahaaahaaa.] --Ray |
